Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Terwillegar Heights

Absolutely the WORST service of all the Edmonton Dairy Queens. About a month ago we purchased DQ from a Millwoods location and they messed our order up twice. Because of that, they gave us a 2 for one small sundae coupon. Last night we came to this location on 23rd ave and purchased full meals and when I handed them my coupon they wouldn't accept it because the Millwoods location didn't stamp the back of the coupon. The guy who rejected it was rude and indignant. I explained to him that i received this from another location because they messed up my order twice and it isnt my fault that they were also too negligent to stamp it as well. He asked what location as to quiz me and I told him where in Millwoods. He still wouldn't accept it. Pretty hilarious considering we are spending $25 on two kids meals and a small Sunday likely costs them all of pennies. Never mind that I see DQ coupons all over the place and get them in my mail a lot. This guy couldn't stamp it with his location stamp or apply another coupon to this sundae. As if people have time to try and rip off DQ for a small sundae especially after explaining the full story of what happened. I can guarantee you I don't have time or the desire to try and steal a coupon, spend $25 on a meal, buy another small sundae in order to use the coupon to get the second sundae free, all in front of my kids to save a couple dollars.

I own my own successful company and I would 100% fire an employee for treating a customer the way we were treated. The customer is always right. Because of this, we will never return to this location which is unfortunate because it was a weekly occurrence after my sons swimming lessons. Completely unacceptable DQ. Hire...

So to get a six-piece chicken strip basket now is like $14 or $15 which is absolutely ridiculous but I have this thing for the buffalo chicken strips there so we go today and we order three baskets to go Two with onion rings one with fries she asks us if we want a bag so we just spent like almost $50 on three chicken strip baskets And I say yes please I'd like a bag and she's standing there waiting for me to give her the $0.15. Which I don't by the way it's the principle of the thing. I won't even tell you how bad it got when the five little ranch things fell over the car but anyway to make matters worse when I get home with my friend and to give the food to my son I look inside and the chicken strips that are in there are about two and a half to 3 in long normally there's six or seven inches long but they're literally 3 in long they're overcooked or at least the ones with out sauce were overcooked and the ones that had sauce on them were undercookedand they literally gave us eight onion rings each and four of which out of the two of us they were raw so they were unedible so it was the most pathetic terrible embarrassing for dairy Queen they should be ashamed of themselves meal I've ever had probably at any fast food...

I ordered a blue raspberry freeze and when I went to enjoy my drink I had chocolate and cheesecake bits in my drink...🤮 Just so ya know this does not taste well together. I am disgusted that the proper clean procedures between orders was not done. Having worked in the DQ franchise I know that you are to clean between orders to prevent contaminating other orders and finding unwelcome ingredients in an order! Thank Godness I don't have an allergy to either item cuz that would have been 100% their fault and 100% avoidable!

I hate nothing more than 1. finding a unwanted item in my food. And 2. a dirty cup which was the other complaint I have... they handed me a sticky cup that has freeze coming down the side... like who wants a sloppy beverage, no consideration to presentation and cleanliness.

All I want from this store is for them to do their job right and follow proper cleaning procedures.

That is not too much to ask for.

Update May 28th Follow up call done by one of the supervisors on duty and they told they will be addressing this manner. I appreciate the call and hope they do ensure all employees follow proper cleaning procedures. Will give them an extra star now...
