I called the store at 9:20 PM today( Oct 9 ) at 9:20 PM to place a to go order for a pistachio croissant. I was very aware that it was close to closing time, so I thought calling ahead would actually make things more convenient for the stuff, giving them time to prepare before I arrived. However, the girl on the phone told me they don’t sell croissants in the afternoon and evenings, which already seemed strange. Still, I decided to let it go. When I happed to walk past the store around 9:50 PM, I saw at least ten customers still sitting in the dining area, so I went inside to double check. When I asked again about ordering a croissant, the staff at the counter repeated that they don’t sell croissants. I then asked about taiyaki, and she said the same thing……. At that point, I honestly wanted to ask, WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU SELL THEN?? Her response was that it was “ close to closing time” and that they “ didn’t want to open the oven”. Excuse me? I had called 40 minutes before closing, does it really take 40 minutes to bake a croissant???? The whole experience was frustrating and unprofessional. If the staff simply didn’t want to serve customers before closing, they should clearly state their actual serving hours instead of misleading people. VERY...
Read moreVery unfortunate I have to leave such a terrible review for a place I use to love. I've easily spent over 500$ here, probably closer to 1000. I could easily go back and look at all my orders. The amount of times you have now messed up my order and have very little to absolutely no regard to making a mistake. Not even an apology or anything. You offer to give me a 2$ side of mango for the inconvenience.... Wow. Thanks. If you guys can't understand the orders that come in, maybe get someone who can. Because Carmen definitely cannot. I called you last week stating your menu on Uber eats no longer let's you pick mango on the side, so I called to verify I could select another option and put in the comments. I did the same thing this time, without calling, thinking it would be simple to understand. Why would anyone possibly ever order a topping on the side? Your very very poor customer service just lost you one of your most frequent returning customers. Learn some manners and how to deal with a customer who YOU'VE done wrong. Thinking a 2$ side is some kind of nice gesture is quite...
Read moreHighly recommend the strawberry bingsoo if you like strawberry desserts. The regular size is quite large if you’re not too hungry, think I’ll order a mini next time (which looks like a regular drink size). Not the finest shaved ice I’ve had, there were small ice clumps in my bowl, but overall still good. I like that there are layers of fruit inside and underneath, not just on the top.
My kid had a mini watermelon which he loved and had no problem finishing on his own. Husband had the regular mango bingsoo, which he also gave full stars.
We were disappointed in the taiyaki though. I was hoping for a more chewy, mochi-like texture on the inside but it was more creamy and custard like. We got the injeolmi with red bean; I was hoping for more injeolmi than red bean for the chewy texture, but it was mostly red bean with small bits of injeolmi. The outer pastry also could have been more crispy. Probably won’t order the taiyaki again, no matter...
