This owner responds To issues/problems With a generic response that basically says please email and explain your circumstance. Even after you email and explain in detail your circumstance. In my experience she has no intention of rectifying issues that are even the restaurants error. The staff tell you to come back and they will fix it and then when you come back they say sorry, our manager isn’t here or this is not our problem. In my experience they became loud and overbearing in conversation and took no responsibility even though on the original phone call they said they would rectify the situation. My experience happened on June 9 I was told the manager would call me back. They refused to give me the managers name or anyone’s name. Nothing was ever rectified. As I have read through the reviews of this place that were written over the past couple weeks and months, I recognize my experience is one of many. With the exact same issues. Being overcharged, refusing to refund, Defending themselves, putting the blame on the customer not being clear when they ordered. When it comes to the actual food, the pieces of chicken are small, they don’t give you sauce even when you order the chicken pops. They tell you have to pay extra for the dipping sauce. I love Mary Brown’s food, we eat there regularly in South Common and on 50th street, I will continue to eat Mary Brown’s🤍, but I will NOT support this location In the WEST. This owner seems to not value her customers or she would be treating each one with respect and addressing the issues and making them right. I think people don’t have the time and she knows that. People are upset for a day or two and then they let it go and she continues to over benefit in her business at the expense of Customers. I will do my best to stand up for my own situation and I hope that things change for future customers. I have attached photos that I hope will help others who come here looking for help. Below is another review by someone about...

I am so disappointed! Why are some businesses pushing their regular customers away? I really don't understand. I understand business have/are facing hard times, we all are, but ripping off your customers isn't the answer. We refuse to give anyone our business anymore that want to rip us/you off with nonsensical up charges. We ordered the Batters Box, as we usually do, it comes with 6 pices of chicken, we always get 5 pices of dark meat & 1 piece of white meat, it's always been a keel or side breast. It really should just already included in the price, but anyway I digress. We have never been charged for an "all dark meat" charge of $3.75, especially when technically we didn't have all dark meat & we were already being changed $2.00 for a side breast. Now, I am all for supporting local businesses instead of packing a lunch, but I refuse to be ripped off & that's exactly how what that was. Even though the ad says you can chose between fries or taters, she argued with her cook about even giving us fries over the tatters already cooked. We have eaten at multiple different locations in the last few months & we have never been charged any of these charges, not even a few days before, at a sister location we went to down the road. We had even been fine with waiting for the extra 11 minutes, or so for more chicken to be ready, but not with those up charges that weren't even mentioned before going to pay for it. Nevermind the attitude.. Never again will we go back there just on principle alone. Which honestly sucks all around, as we like Mary Browns chicken in fact we are heading to a different location where we know they don't charge us these...

This is currently my favourite place for chicken (outside my own kitchen), Popeyes is too far still to go when I'm starving and have to or am at work!! It is more expensive than #KFC for a four piece meal with water, gravey and fries but it is with it. The fries have always been burn your face hot.....add pepper to the gravey.....you are good to go! The chicken is juice, crisp and hot! KFC cooks so much chicken in advanced and has it in a warming oven for so long that the chicken (for me and my many trips to locations all over town for years now) is soft, dried out and semi-warm! For deep fried fast food that is just a joke, and other places offer he same lame presentation! Yes, you can get the odd time when the fries are HOT and like winning a big scratch and win whee the chicken is fresh from the pressure cookers! ANYWAY.........as for the big poster ad on entrance to #MaryBrowns.........have to wonder if they had a big talk about the words and the use of the two pictures see here? Best Legs in Town? What the hell is that lady doing in the top corner. Should be biting a leg.....no? Well at least they did not say......"Best Breasts in Town" either way, the huge in your face wall decore is a bit sexist don't ya think? And besides my wife has the best legs in town!! So yes I'm insalted.....and peppered for that matter! I'm dropping the chicken leg on this post......I'm out! Twitter;...

I bought Mary Brown chicken many times in the past from the Jasper Gate location. Several months ago, they closed permanently. I went to Mary Brown at the Mayfield Common yesterday. I ordered 18 pieces of chicken only. I was so disappointed with the portion size from this location. There was only one normal size chicken breast and there were many small tiny pieces of chicken breasts. It looks like this owner cut each chicken breast into half or perhaps into a third for a bigger profit. These tiny pieces were smaller than the wings and drumsticks. The price of 18 pieces for $47.24 is expensive. I feel I didn’t get the value for the money spent on this purchase. I am sure the franchise standards are better than this. Don’t buy Mary Brown at Mayfield Common location, you will get rip off !!
