Was very excited to eat here because of all the photos on Google of the delicious looking food but was greatly disappointed! My friend and I went on our lunch breaks and the drive is 4 minutes from work. We walked in, there is a sign that reads "please wait to be seated". So, we waited. The place looked nice, and had a dining section and a lounge section but I read that it was also 18+. A change made this year, I believe. Neither sections were full but we stood and waited for ten minutes. In the ten minutes of waiting, we weren't even greeted. One man walked by and said "She'll be right with you" with no eye contact at all or "Hey folks, sorry about the wait! Someone will be right over!" A lady who was serving on the dining side did make eye contact with me TWICE, but still did not come over or give any gesture that we will be helped anytime soon. Another lady from the lounge side came to seat us and took our drink order. We only had an hour so we asked if we could place our food orders right away as well. And I'm gonna put this out there that I've worked in the restaurant industry since I was 13 in all areas so I am very patient and courteous with all staff and tip very well. However, the serving staff didn't seem very friendly towards us. They weren't rude. But no smiles, very little communication and were not very attentive. Again, I understand places can get busy, people have bad days etc. But they were plenty staffed and it was not packed. We waited for our food until we had to leave because our lunch break was near ending. I had to approach the bar to get someone's attention to get our order to go. And 2 servers walked right by. I ended up bringing my food to work and eating it at my desk. Very sad that I did not get to enjoy my food while it was hot and not impressed with the service we received. Regardless, I did leave a tip because I try not to let others affect my day and upset me enough to mistreat anybody. I will not be returning to this location, although I'm sure the sandwich and fries would have been fire if I got to eat them warm. Lastly, I've been an Indigenous women long enough to notice when others are being served in an entirely...
Read moreI have no idea how this restaurant has good reviews as our experience was awful. I attended dinner with 4 friends recently and the food was horrendous. We ordered Calamari and Mussels to start and we ended up sending the Calamari back because it tasted rancid, it also had a very foul odor. The Mussels were just okay, the white wine sauce was over powered by lemon juice and tasted very tart. The garlic bread they sent were wrinkled up store bought hamburger buns that were super tiny, over toasted, and flavorless. I ordered the Mediterranean pasta and my friend had the Chicken Cordon Bleu. The Italian sausage tasted like it had gone bad several days ago and the pasta was completely void of flavor. The chicken was just as unedible as the sausage. The fries on 2 different plates both tasted old and stale. I think the most disappointing part of our experience was that management did not seem to care. NOT once did she come and speak to us or apologize for the food even after being confronted about the poor quality of food. Our waitress Twila was amazing and kept apologizing even tho she did not have to as she had nothing to do with the food prep. Management would not even let her remove certain items off our bill that we barely touched because "other people in the restaurant had the same meal and didnt complain" . We weren't looking to get a completely free meal however I think the least they could have done was taken a percentage of the bill. I guess they don't care about providing good customer service. Me and my 4 friends will NEVER ever go back to this restaurant!!! Mayfield...
Read moreGreat place to have a brunch. We went about 10 am, it hadn’t gotten busy as yet, but definitely by time we ate and left it was very, very busy. Despite picking up, the staff was friendly and our who normally works in the bar was in to help out on the restaurant side. She did just fine even though she was out of her element, except for when we were asking for a bill and she never came back. After about 10 - 15 minutes another server finally came over with it. Not a huge deal only because we weren’t on a time constraint. The food was good, they had actual real potato hash browns! The reason I rate it a 4, not 5, is because I called ahead to confirm they could provide gluten free for my friend’s son. I was told they have many options on the phone. When we arrived, we were told well they cannot guarantee gluten free, which mean this poor child had to sit through us all having breakfast, without being able to eat, and having to go get him something else before his soccer game. Please educate your staff on the importance of dietary restrictions such as this, because it can cause serious health effects if not followed. Everyone there checked on us lots, we’re apologetic for the wait, given how busy it was. We were pretty casual for timing as we had given ourselves about 2.5 hours before we had to go to soccer, so not a big deal for us. Anyway, overall, would go back. We were there for brunch and I would like to try the dinner menu at some point. Overall, good staff, clean place, good food. Sorry no pictures, I...
