We went with family to have Father’s Day brunch and were the first through the door at 11 am. We went straight for the patio to enjoy the sun and the day. The music was excessively loud to the extent that conversation was a problem. We asked the waitress to turn it down, and that didn’t occur. My wife then went in to ask the bartender and he obliged. After 15 minutes we received waters and drinks, and made our order. That was understandable since the patio had become busy. Then the waiting game began! We finished our drinks and sat empty for about half an hour. After 1 hr 20 minutes we were ready to leave without food since we had prior engagements. The table next to us was in the same predicament other than we were there before them!! Pathetic service and ticket times. Our neighbors received a coupon for their meals; we didn’t vocalize enough I guess!? After 1 hr 30 our meals arrived we were disgusted by the presentation and food. The ‘fruit stick’ looked like it was days old. The eggs were cold. The turkey sausage was hard and inedible. We expressed our unhappiness to the waitress but it seemed to go unnoticed. This was probably the worst 1:45 hr and $80 I have spent in a restaurant! Understaffed, poor service, gross food, poor presentation, and unapologetic. I have worked extensively in the service industry and there is no excuse for the inadequacies. This place only got a second star due to the building and patio. Don’t let this specific restaurant smear the name of OJ’s. The one down the road from my house is fantastic. I will not be back to...
Read moreI haven't been into this establishment for a while I noticed that my older review has been removed I was able to get in today The actual restaurant is in my neighborhood It's handy It's a nice enough place I enjoyed my previous visits Today's visit was quite nice I had the ace Burger with fries and slaw it was really quite good unfortunately the burger came with some type of sauce that had an odd taste however they were happy to remake the burger with no sauce and it was very good The only real problem I had was that I had ordered a drink When I arrived And requested a second drink to go with the meal The meal arrived and I had finished except for the burger which had to be redone The second burger arrived and I finished up waited a short while and then had to leave and the server then informed me that the drink had been prepared but was still on the counter for some reason
I'm not too sure It seemed like it was fairly quiet and there was enough staff but overall It was still a fairly nice visit I would recommend the ace Burger personally without the sauce but that's up to the individual The side dishes were very good fries were just nice and crispy If I was going to suggest anything if you are there alone it occurs to me it would be better to sit at the bar so that You're less likely to be overlooked Have a great day...
Read moreThis is the saddest meal I have ever seen for $20. I ordered the A.C.E. burger which is 2 patties, lettuce, tomato, supposed to come with pickles and onions and burger sauce, which has none of that on it. Also supposed to come with 2 sides, I asked for the ceasar salad and veggies and dip. As you can see by my pictures I was given 4 vegetables and the smallest ceasar salad I have ever seen, that basically consisted of lettuce, there is 1 crouton and a very thin piece of bacon and that's it. I am extremely disappointed as Original Joe's used to be a decent place to eat, this is appalling and I will never order from there again. This is the Hollick Canyon location, you'd be better off going to the A&W drive thru that is located in the same area.
I would like to add that the acting manager Jessica at the Hollick Canyon location quickly rectified my issues immediately and went above and beyond what I expected and would personally like to thank her for how quickly she reacted to the issue I had. I wish all restaurants had a 'Jessica', she was simply fantastic and once again thank you very...
