Well, this is a chain restaurant now... But the one I'm used to is the one in Millwoods. I guess my expectations are too high because Millwoods location is the best bar-none..... This west location was overly eager to take your order... With 3 waiters at your table.. Upon ordering, the portions were skimpy, the pho soup came out not as hot as I'm used too.. It cooled down quickly, the meat in pho was soggy... Skimpy on the bean sprouts and dipping sauces... The 2nd order was the 5-color virmichelli dish with shrimp.... Let's clarify that... (one tiny piece of shrimp) loaded with rice to plump up the dish.. The Vietnamese iced coffee: for $5.50..come on, your paying for ice and like a shot glass of coffee over ice... What a rip off... Overall, not a good experience. The service was attentive cool.. But what's going on in the kitchen or are the owners here super cheap and like to rip off its customers. Too bad I had to write this review but constructive criticism goes a long way otherwise...

I had a bad experience here 3 years ago with service and tried it again thinking it was a one off, hoping it'd be better. Surprise! It wasn't.
Waited 45 minutes to be served our food after ordering. People next to us on BOTH sides, a family of four and a separate group of two, both had ordered the same dish (#15,#22) and received it 10-15 minutes before us, despite ordering about 15 minutes after us?
Now you might be thinking, interesting, why were they served first. We were pretty confused so we asked the waiter about the situation and he laughed it off?
Uh, what non sequential ordering system does this restaurant have? I understand that it's busy wait times can be long, but when you're serving the EXACT same dish to multiple people who have ordered after us, it's not due to be being busy.
Unfortunately you'd have to pay me to ever set foot in this restaurant again. Not to mention other places in Edmonton are ALOT better for food and service at...
Read moreTl;dr, service was awesome and the food was a little above average. If you are staying near here, you should check it out.
Arguably, pho is my favourite food. It is a must have for me on any trip. So, as you can imagine, when I realized there was a place to get it by my hotel, it became my very first stip in Edmonton.
The menu is what you would expect. However, they did offer a broth that wasn't beef--a fish pho--, which was excellent because my gf doesnt eat beef or pork. In fact, many pho places she can't eat at, so that was cool
Service was excelent, we dealt with three very kind and personable servers. The food was very timely, and we started with a delicious complimentary tea. The fried spring rolls were great with their sweet sauce. I had the beef flank Pho. It came with the normal sides. The broth was not as strong as I like it to be, but with a little sauce added it was fine.
If you are staying at either of the Hilton hotels near this spot, you should...
