We hadn’t been here in about 5 years and I have to say we are sure glad we came back! The previous owners were super nice and we always liked the food. The only reason for our not being back in awhile was the distance from our home. We came for my wife’s birthday and we were greeted and sat right away. My family ordered a ton of food because we love leftovers for the next day. We didn’t have to wait long until the first dish was brought out and the first mouthful had our eyes go wide. Wow! Absolutely delicious, and that was just the beef fried rice. Every dish served after that was equally amazing. Our host “Tiffany” came out to chat with us for a bit and we found out that her family are the new owners. Folks, try this place if you haven’t been here before. You will not be disappointed! P.S. I apologize for the photos. I had already dug into the dishes before I took the pictures.

I walked in I was blown away . First thing I see is the older lady, owner I assume, sitting in the customer seating area assembling uncooked (what I presume are won tons or something similar) and stacking them in a container for later.just when you think it dont get any more unpprofessional, Behind the counter looked like a hurricain had hit . There was just clutter, dishes and garbage everywhere . Which leaves the kitchen . From what I could see standing at the counter the kitchen dodnt look any better . I assume the food was precooked and warmed up in a wok, my rice tasted like it was made previous day . Only thing looked fresh was the chicken balls, they were surprisingly good. As for price you dont even come close to getting what you pay for . I will not return

Used to eat here years ago when the original owner was there. Came back to the city and thought my wife and I would go for some late lunch. Was disappointed to say the least. Saw there was a new owner and the food was mediocre at best and lacked flavour. Service was not the greatest either. The server was not very welcoming bordering on rude. Change is good when it’s for the better but in this case, not so much. We won’t be back.

Dim Sum Delight serves your standard chinese cuisine as well as made to order dim sum. It's small venue size with limited seating (they are still capable.of hosting a large family or company dinner party) affords them the ability to offer a personalized experience to each of their customers where by the end of your meal you will walk away feeling like you are apart of their family. This will become further realised upon your second visit when you walk in and are warmly greeted noticing that they have remembered you from your previous visit and we havent even gotten to how good the food is!! The food is absolutely some of if not the best in Edmonton and all of Canada. My job takes me across western Canada and I can say with confidence that this is the highest quality authentic chinese, dim sum and western chinese cuisine that you will ever have. Because the dim sum is made to order instead of on the traditional charts you always get hot and fresh steamed or deep fried dumplings. There may be some debate as to where ginger beef originated with many people mentioning a place in Calgary but I can guarantee with 100% certainty that this is where you will find the best ginger beef in the world. I love coming here for lunch brunch supper and really any time of the day. You will definitely not regret choosing this place only regret will be that you didn't try it sooner. And their pricing is extremely affordable with prices this good theres no excuse to settle for a greasy burger or an uninspiring sub when for the same price two people can sit down with complimentary green tea or order to go from dim...

Oct 2024 update. Had not been here for quite a while. Taste of food is still good. Portion size however have really shrunk again. Two of us had 3 dishes and a small wonton soup each. Neither of us are big eaters, and there were no leftovers. Bill was 78 bucks, so at nearly 40 bucks each for a light lunch, I call that very expensive. There was a time not long ago that a full dish would serve 4, and now it barely feeds 2. Lunch on a Friday, and we were the only customers from 12:30 to nearly 2. Seems customers are voting with their feet.

Service has never been good here but has deteriorated even more. It is now far from friendly or attentive, it has always been about the food. Place has been going downhill since the new owners took over a couple of years ago. No longer find it worth going here all that often.

May 2022 update. Menu prices have risen dramatically. Despite having to pay Skip the Dishes 40 percent of the food bill, they offer no discount if you pick it up yourself or for dine in. Now dishes only feed two people, rather than the 4 that used to be common. Still go there about once a month but at Ballpark 100 bucks for 2 to have supper with no drinks, not nearly as often as we used to. Food is five star, price would be 3 star. Service is typical for Asian restaurants.

June 2015 Great food, friendly fast sevice. It's a little pricey but good size servings and excellent...

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants we had been to in Edmonton if not the best. We had a group of eight people and spent eight days in Edmonton. Seven days out of the eight days we ate at Dim Sum Delight Chinese Cuisine for lunch/dinner(One day they were off). We all loved the food, services, and the kindness of the people at this restaurant. We traveled 7000 miles from Hong Kong to come to Edmonton and immediately, this restaurant made us felt like home. The freshness, taste and authenticity of the food were second to none. Everything we ordered was excellent. The portions were generous with reasonable price. We had their Dim Sums and their daily specials both lunch and dinner. Their hot and sour soup and the pork rice were one of our favorites. We did not miss a day without ordering both dishes. Besides the amazing taste of the food, the friendliness and kindness of the owners of this restaurant had made us want to go back every day. Despite the unbelievably cold weather in Edmonton, they made all of us felt warm in Edmonton. These are some of the most wonderful people that own/work at this restaurant. We had tried other Chinese restaurants in Edmonton, but Dim Sum Delight was by far the best. If you are looking for amazing food, wonderful service and reasonable prices, Dim Sum Delight is the...
