Red Swan Pizza — Restaurant in Edmonton

I hate to give one star, but only because people seem less likely to take one star reviews seriously, but I can't in good conscious give it anything higher. I had to laugh when I saw that this is all 5 star ratings. Like, seriously guys, even when a dictator or someone like Saddam Hussein holds a fake election, they will still only claim that they got 99% of the vote, not 100%.

First of all, the wait time was atrocious. I went in for the walk in deal -- big mistake. They told me it would be 20 minutes to make my order which was only one 14 inch pizza. I came back 20 minutes later and the guy at the counter still said it would be another five or 10 minutes. In the end, it took about 40 minutes, so I had the pleasure of waiting around in a dirty parking lot for a lot longer than I would ever care to. Others who had come in for the walk in special started to complain, and from talking among ourselves it turned out that pretty much everyone waiting had had the same experience as myself.

Also, don't go by their flyers or promo materials if you want to know what their pizza looks like. If you don't believe me, look at the pictures on their website. For all their talk about putting sesame seeds on their crust, not a single pizza on their website looks like that. By the way, in my opinion, sesame seeds on pizza crust is legit weird, and (sadly) did nothing to enhance the pie.

Oh, and another thing is that they use that junky fake pepperoni that's more like bologna instead of what most people expect when they think of pepperoni. Plus, the deal that I went in for was for a two topping pizza, and when I ordered pepperoni and extra cheese for my two toppings, and I noticed that he just wrote down 'pepperoni' and didn't include the 'extra cheese' bit. If what I got was indeed extra cheese, it was an abomination, and I don't even want to imagine how little cheese they would put on a pizza without extra cheese.

I guess the only thing positive I have to say, is at least the guy apologized for the wait when he finally gave me my pizza, and it didn't taste quite as bad as it looked, though it was close. That being said, that pizza probably makes my top 5 worst pizzas of all time list. I ordered a cauliflower crust pizza. When it arrived it looked like regular crust. I called and was told it was a new type but it was a cauliflower crust. I requested nutritional information to ensure, from a dietary requirement perspective, that I could have it. I was told the box was in the garbage so this information wasn’t available, but it’s a cauliflower crust. I asked again for this info and was told I would get a callback when the box was retrieved. I received a callback and was given the ingredients. I asked again for the nutritional information and then was provided with a list. I requested a photo to be texted and it was confirmed a text would be forthcoming. After 6 minutes I called back. The call went unanswered. Eventually the call was answered and was now told the nutritional information was not on the box, and that he called the manufacturer to obtain the details. It was obvious to me I had been lied to and he never actually had the information; what I was actually provided was information from their website which presumably has the old crust’s details as they very recently changed product. I was told that no, no, it was correct. When asked why he didn’t say this in the first place rather than tell me the box was in the garbage, there was circular talk and no answer. I asked for a refund and was told I needed to go back to the store even though they were quick to accept instant payment online. As I can’t be sure whether this product is safe for me to consume I obviously won’t be taking the chance. It is this reason that I am so very upset. Food and service USED TO BE GREAT. But now, if I can give a negative 5 star, I would. So this is what happened.

I ordered my regular combo for delivery last Friday, placed the order at 11:27 ( I know that the wait time is 45 minutes for regular time, but usually it takes up to an hour if busy which is fine) so it should be here at 12:15Pm

12:12 PM this Indian lady called saying they needed 20 more minutes because it was busy - it's okay

After 12:49PM ,I called them cause that's been more than 20 min that they asked. (i just live like 8minutes away, I just can't go to the store cause I have to prepare for work) I asked how many more minutes they needed , and then this Indian lady said, " 5 minutes . ...oh no, just 3 minutes. "

1pm is called back, she said another 5 minutes.not even apologizing, she's cutting me off on the phone, saying, "I know i know, yeah yeah yeah."

She's insisting that she'll give me a refund. I clearly stated, "I do not need your refund, I just need my food delivered. And I need to know how many minutes or hours you really need"

Clearly, they do not understand, cause when the food arrived around 1:15 🙄😒 the delivery guy was asking if I want my refund now cause he can give me cash, I even got a message about a refund.

If I want a refund, can you please refund the time wasted?how bout that?!

Oh, one more thing, the food was delivered cold.
