Starbucks — Restaurant in Edmonton

I often visit this store (it is really close to where I live) and I was very satisfied with the service they provided. However, I went here this afternoon. I told that I want to save the points using my app before I made a payment with my mastercard. The korean lady who worked there said I can pay now so I payed for my order using tap but I was little confused because she didnt ask me to scan the barcode to save the points before I pay. So I told her I want to save the points, again, and she said I cant save the points unless I reload my card and pay with the app. (Ive been paying like this so many times and I know they can save the points for me whatever I pay with.) So, I said that and she asked me if Im korean (I am Korean) and she started to speak in Korean and said, shes been working at starbucks for 3 YEARS now and she cant be wrong. I understand people make mistakes or miscommunicate sometimes but her attitude was very rude and I tried to tell her Ive been paying like this and saved my points so many times before, she was just shaking her head and said you cant pay in that way. I think she accidentally finished the transaction before she saved the points for me but I really dont understand why she insisted she is right. Ive worked at other cafe so I really dont like to mess up with people working there and I know they are trying to provide a good service for customer. My life is a movie can't make this up! Just finished driving 13 hours for work hauling cars short staffed, almost ran out of gas and need a coffee aka my life saver! Thought I was going to run out of gas in the line and have to get a jerry can to fill up. I just made a payment on my card but my funds weren't available. I told the kind, very soul hearted lady at the woman at the door whatvjust happened. I ended up driving away with the coffee on Starbucks! I happened to fond a toonie on the floor and just made it to the gas station. Sipping away taking a deep breathe I was sooo thankful for Maggie making my day! Amanda is an awesome barista who is always friendly, helpful, and excellent in the drive through. I can’t say enough good things about her customer service ✨🙌🏼. Angelica is also an amazing barista that handled pressure in the drive thru well a day ago when they were short staffed. She had a trainee in the drive thru who made many mistakes but Angelica was quick to make my order right and handled herself in a calm, kind and professional manner 👍🏼 I have to strongly disagree with the negative reviews posted and think those people must be entitled, rude customers/ people to begin with. Service workers deal with a lot and being kind goes a long way. I Highly recommend this Starbucks. They have hundreds of regulars that have been going for years...
