UPDATED REVIEW: I ordered 9 sambusa this morning so that I could show my friends, but they tasted NOTHING like what they did before. 50%-75% of the filling (depending on the sambusa) was coarsely chopped white onion. Absolutely inedible and awful tasting. Such a shame that this restaurant has no consistency... New rating for the sambusa: 1/5. One of the worst beef sambusas I've ever had in my life. The chicken suqaar and rice tasted and looked different today, too. Of the photos I posted, the last 5 are from the latest order. Because of their inconsistency, I sadly cannot trust to spend another $45 here again and will not be returning. INITIAL REVIEW: Overall, I am satisfied with the food I ordered from here. The customer service was lovely and they even sent me two free spiced chais (which were perfectly made and get a 5/5). Below is a review of each dish: Sambusa: Incredible value for $2! Wow! Filled with ground beef, peppers, and spiced wonderfully. Just the perfect amount of spice for anyone really! Mild enough for those that aren't accustomed to spicy African food, but still with a bit of afterkick for those that do appreciate spice (such as myself; I'm a fiend for it lol). 5/5. <- NOT true. Please refer to above. Chicken suqaar with Somali rice: The chicken suqaar had depth and was delicious. The Somali rice was nice, as well, but quite mild in flavour compared to every other Somali rice I've eaten. Still good, but it definitely doesn't have as many seasonings in it as others do and is therefore not as deep of a flavour. 5/5 for the chicken suqaar and 4/5 for the rice. Beyaynetu with injera: All injera is delicious, so no complaints there of course! I was surprised to see that there wasn't much of an assortment of vegetable dishes as other Ethiopian restaurants offer. Instead, their beyaynetu only comes with 2: miser wot (stewed red lentils) and atakilt wat (carrots and potatoes, though it did not have cabbage in it like it usually does). The atakilt wat was very tasty, albeit a little undercooked at times. The miser wot was fine, but it almost tasted as if the berbere wasn't cooked long enough as it had a tiny hint of uncooked spice in it or perhaps simply bitterness? 5/5 for the atakilt wat and 3/5 for the miser wot. Safe to say, I will be revisiting this restaurant in the future. 🫶 The prices are reasonable ($18 on SkiptheDishes for both mains) and the food had good flavour. 😊

I had an event recently, after we agreed and i paid downpayment the owner suddenly changed his maind and asked me to pay more. It was at the last minute and he gave me no option. During the event the plugs were not working properly, for that reason we had a problem with sound system. Above all the hall was not clean. I really regret that I booked with such...
