Went with my friend on Saturday March 16th for the first time and I was looking forward to trying it as I've heard great things. To say the experience was disappointing would be an understatement. Our server was an older male who was friendly, he suggested I get the bangers and mash, which I was excited to try. Our drinks took a little bit to get to us and while we were waiting for our food, the server didn't come over a single time to fill up our waters or check on our drinks. We could tell he was busy and had a high turnover section so it wasn't a big deal. However, our food took almost 30 minutes to come out and came out very cold, my mash potatoes, eggs and the sauce were very cold. The eggs has absolutely no seasoning on them so they were very bland. The only redeeming quality for the meal is that their chicken sausages are delicious - however these were also cold. If my friend and I weren't starving and didn't wanna wait another 30 min we would've sent the meals back cause it was unacceptable to not get warm food. My friend has tried to get the attention of another server (a blonde lady) to ask for a ketchup. The woman openly sighed and rolled her eyes at us before coming to the table, she seemed annoyed that we bothered to get her attention and didn't even bring over a ketchup for my friend. We later found out this women was the manager on duty, which made the experience every more bothersome as this person should not be representing the company. We still had to pay for the food, but they did give us a "you are special" discount.
Overall it was a horrible experience. As someone who is both a server and a manager in the service industry, I would never treat customers the way this lady treated us. Nor would I charge the customers for...
Read moreWe had looked on the website before hand and saw that there was “brunch happy hour” from 11-12 with $6 mimosas which we were excited for. We got to the restaurant and waited for about 40 min, which is fine, and then we got to our table but unfortunately it was past happy hour. We mentioned that we missed happy hour because of the wait time and our waitress was very rude in explaining that they don’t do brunch happy hour on Sundays and they haven’t done happy hour since COVID-19. We ordered their specialty mimosas, waffle with fruit and their savory waffle with chicken sausage. Their food was very good, free run eggs make a big difference and the taste of the food was amazing. Unfortunately the service is what spoiled the whole experience. We got our food but we had no cutlery on our table. Our waitress asked if we need anything after we got our food so we asked for salt, pepper and syrup which we never got. We told her how much we enjoyed the food while she was taking our plates and didn’t say anything and left. When she did a quality check she ran away before we could say anything? When we were paying she left to go take another persons payment, took someone else’s payment and then came back and finished our second transaction. She printed our receipts glared at it as it printed, looking for the tip, and when we didn’t tip for the horrible service she asked if everything was okay with the food... clearly the tip was not about the food but the service. When we said nothing was wrong with the food she said, “Have a good day I guess!” And ran away yet again. I’m sorry but the service was truly terrible and it ruined the whole experience, we definitely...
Read moreI want to specify first off that I never got to eat here and therefore this is just a review on atmosphere. The decor was beautiful, the food looked delicious but the staff were less than welcoming. My fiance and I tried to come here on a Sunday for brunch and expected it to be busy and were ready to wait. But as we walked in there appeared to be no sorting system at the door, just a mob of about 10+ people surrounding the entrance. With more people walking in behind us as we stood there I thought that I should find out if we could put our name down to hold a place. I walk past the mob of people and find the first staff member near the front of the crowd and ask about a waitlist, apparently this was a server because all I got was a disdainful "You have to ask the host..." with a wave towards the empty host stand. I then scan the restaurant and see the host setting up a big table and wait for her to seat it. After only two of the people from the crowd sit at the new eight top table I politely ask the host "Are we supposed to put our name down for a table, and about how long the wait would be?" And to my surprise this staff member also replied rather rudely "Well all these people are ahead of you" as she gestured to the ever growing mob at the door (4-6 of which had walked in after us) "so it's over 45 mins for a table or you can sit in dacapo" she then walked back to her stand not even asking for our name. Instead we went to eat brunch at the Next Act, our usual place, and I have since heard from others that they had also felt the same vibe from the staff here. Needleas to say I won't be trying to eat here again...
