Man, I walked into Happy Cow the other day and I swear on my drugged cousin, it felt like somebody had bottled up my childhood and then sprinkled it with sprinkles⦠but like, the good kind, not them stale ones your grandma keeps in a Folgers can. Place smells like heaven if heaven had a dairy section. Soon as I walked in, this girl behind the counter, probably 19, maybe 43, you couldnāt tell, she smiles at me like sheās known me since the third grade. Thatās the kind of smile thatāll heal a broken home, man. They got ice cream flavors in there I ain't never even heard of like Blueberry Cheesecake Avalanche and Moose on the Loose. I asked about that one and she goes, āOh, itās chocolate with marshmallows and peanut butter cups.ā Iām like, yeah, but whereās the moose? She just winked like maybe thereās a lawsuit pending..... I donāt know, man thereās love in that ice cream. Or maybe lactose, but either way, itās hitting. And the vibe, dude. They got old-timey signs on the wall, like Life is short, lick the bowl, which is cute until you remember your uncle who actually did that at Thanksgiving. They had a jukebox too, playing Christmas carols from the 80s and dawg tears came to my eyes. I left there happy, possibly diabetic, but also spiritually full. Happy Cow aināt just an ice cream shop..... itās a little barn of joy where everybodyās welcome, unless youāre lactose intolerant⦠and even then, buddy, sometimes itās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreš¦ā¤ļøš¦ā¤ļøš¦ššš So, you know how when you go to ice cream places and you look in the case and it's like rainbow colors galore? Yeah? Well this place is not like that at all. The mint ice cream was not some green color. They use all natural flavorings so the mint chocolate chip was whiteish color and the mint taste that exploded in my mouth was the best mint I've ever had. Seriously. She said they use three different kinds of mint spearmint, peppermint and dang the third I can't remember but anyway it was soooo good. The banana cream had real bananas, hand mashed in there. It's so good. My mouth is watering again. Oh and you gotta try the honey one. Man oh man!!!! Wish we had one of these shops in out town. You people in Fernie are lucky.
Also, don't despair if you are a dairy free person. My kid can't have dairy at all and they had three things for her to choose from. Not like those rainbow colored, chain places that we won't name, (their sherberts have dairy in them sometimes) But you know the ones I'm talking about... 31 flavors of fake junk and not at all made with Happy Cows, I'm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst customer service ever tonight.
Stopped by Happy Cow tonight to get some of our favourite ice cream (Honeycomb & Johnnyās Addiction) for a treat on our way through Fernie.
We both finished our ice cream and were extremely disappointed because there was no toffee crunch or chocolate in the respective ice creams. I called back to let them know our concerns and Dillon answered. After telling me the added ingredients get broken down when itās mixed together I told him we have been coming for years and there was always the special ingredients in the ice creams that have it.
Dillon refused to acknowledge the issue I called about and after telling me āwe canāt do anything about thatā he told me to have a nice day and hung up on me.
Due to the horrible customer service, myself and my friends will not be supporting Happy Cow in Fernie. I hope the owners teach Dillon some customer service skills so he doesnāt needlessly offend any...
