Pizza 73 — Restaurant in Fort Saskatchewan

BEWARE. Employees here might try to rip you off. Employee Gurpinder or whatever is his name is should not have any job. Apart from very bad making bad pizza, he is also rude, ignorant and obnoxious. He is very good at anti-customer service.

Even though, I pointed towards the menu display for my order and confirmed the deal, which he confirmed too, he was confused and mumbled to himself that he could not find something, while punching in my order without addressing me directly. Then he tried to rip me off by punching $3 higher amount in debit machine than my actual total. When pizza was ready I asked for the pop that was part of the deal. Not only he refused to give it to me but become argumentative and asked me to pay for it. I had to call customer service to sort it out. Instead of apologizing and admitting his incompetence and ignorance, he was belligerent and obnoxious whole time, He even hurled abuse at me. Most people would admit their mistake and apologize, not this guy. This guy has anger and arrogance issues. AVOID THIS LOCATION...

We used to love this pizza place and visited almost weekly. The pizza was always great, and the service was consistently good. That is, until one day when we had an issue. We tried paying with our debit card, and the employee informed us that it was declined. So, we tried a second card, which went through without any problem. We enjoyed the meal and went home, but later received a bank notification for a charge on the card that was supposedly rejected earlier. It turned out we had been charged twice for the same meal.

We reached out to the restaurant, both by phone and in person. The first time we visited, they promised to refund the extra charge within five days. However, when that time passed and we hadn’t received anything, we went back a week later. This time, they claimed we were only charged once, even though both our bank statements clearly showed otherwise.

At this point, we decided not to pursue it further. We won’t be returning to this...

It's probably been well over a decade since we've ordered from Pizza 73, and I can't really recall why. Our kids wanted some heart shaped pizzas for Valentine's Day and I'm sure glad Pizza 73 offered them, as I'm not a fan of that other pizza chain that offers them, that's named after a US city (even though it's a Canadian chain, go figure). The pizzas were quite tasty and had a nice crust. I especially enjoyed the donair pizza. The boneless chicken wings/bites were delicious as well and had just the right amount of sauce. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that it wasn't ready when I arrived for pickup 25 minutes after placing the order. It took an additional 15 minutes, but it looked as though they were pretty busy. Nevertheless, I didn't deduct any stars from my review because of that. I'm sure we'll definitely be ordering from Pizza 73 and won't wait another...
