Went today for first time. New to area and my friends love it. Ordered the Eggs Benny smoked salmon with deep fried potatoes. I want to end on a positive so I'll start with potatoes. They were way over cooked, dark and some had loads of seasoning that were super salty. In fact, a third of the potatoes bordered on burnt. I left most on the plate. I would have taken a pic, or said something but I didn't want to offend my friends who brought me there. I wasn't a fan of the strong bitter coffee either. Was horrible really. That was my first cup of the day and I refrained from top ups. English muffins underneath were soggy and pretty thin and small. I like a good crisp on edge of the bread under my Benny. Now for the positive, the eggs were cooked medium and the way I like them and the hollandaise was good. You could taste the lemon. However, for $18.00 there was a super thin single layer of smoked salmon, barely distinguishable. My second egg had hardly any. Service was good, personable staff. Cute atmosphere. When we left there was a line waiting to enter. What my friends had looked good. Maybe it was a one off, idk. I'll try it once more, perhaps order the fried potatoes with onions and go for regular Benny with ham, and order a cappuccino if I want to pay over $30 total. However, with a tip coming to almost 30 dollars for 1 person, no juice, no special coffee, I might have to think about it....

Cutest atmosphere. Just ate there with a party of 3. Not only was the wait an hour to get our food from the time we sat down but when the food did arrive all our orders were wrong. We all ordered Benny's with varying cooks on the eggs and different topings. The person who requested her eggs cooked hard had the softest eggs of the bunch completely runny, my eggs which I requested soft were cooked to death hard and the English muffin was wrong. They asked how it was and I was honest. Exressing that all the dishes were wrong cooks on the egg as well as the English muffins being mixed up. The waiter immediately just checked his iPod to confirm what we ordered which was what I had said then said he would get us new eggs. He didn't apologize and wasn't polite. 20 minutes later our new eggs arrive which were simply plain poached egg and a side of sauce to which we had to put on our own cold and now soggy English muffins (that were still wrong). It was discusting. He asked if it was better and again I was honest but . no apology or admittance that they screwed up.

In the end they didn't charge me for mine But didn't discount anyone elses. Wasn't polite at all about it.

On the plus side. We had to wait for a table outside for like 20 minutes and they were super nice and...

I am giving Claudine’s a 2.5/5 based mostly on take out service. Last weekend I ordered meals for my wife, my mother, and me. I picked up the order and brought it home. It is a 40 minute round trip as we live just outside of town. When we open the order we discover that the seafood chowder with lobster was less than 2/3rds full and there was no lobster. The chowder with the addition of lobster is $31. I contacted Claudine’s via email to let them know about our incomplete order and that I didn’t want to leave a negative review as the was likely just an error in a very busy kitchen. They apologized and offered me a $25 voucher as compensation. I accepted and said I will try again next weekend. My mother really loves their seafood chowder.

This brings us to this weekend. This time the chowder had the lobster but they left out the mussels and the ciabatta garlic toast! To add to the disappointment my buttermilk fried chicken had clearly been left in the frier for much longer than is should have. The coating was dark brown with a slight burnt taste. In contrast we also got an order of wings and they were done perfectly.

All that to say that although the food is good, for the most part, they have a problem with...

What a gem of a place! We were in Fredericton last weekend and searched for a place that had lobster rolls. Our first night was a disappointment, however our second night was a success as we discovered Claudine's! Sat nite was curiously quite, but it made for a nice atmosphere. The server we had was quite friendly and super helpful! Lobsters rolls were delicious, lots of meat and a homemade roll, it didn't disappoint. Music, wine, ambiance was all lovely! So much so that we decided to return for brunch the next day. Lobster eggs benny and a lobster omelette were both delicious! It was much busier at that time of day, lots of guests and servers, but we never felt rushed. Although we didn't have our same server from the night before, he was there and greeted us warmly! He had mentioned we should go and see the Christmas trees at a nursing home in town, after brunch we did and what a surprise! Seemed to be hundreds of them, it must be quite spectacular at night with snow!! So, highly recommend Claudine's Eatery when you are in Fredericton,,, great food, good service and friendly people!

Went to Claudie’s Eatery on a Saturday for lunch, and overall, it was a great experience! I had the YFC Burger Battle25 – French Onion Burger (without onions), and it was friggin' epic. I'm literally salivating just thinking about it again. The flavors were perfectly paired, and it was cooked just right—one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while! My friends had the Eggs Benedict with Hashbrown Poutine. The Benedict itself was solid, but the poutine was a letdown. It was basically big chunks of (boiled?) potato with gravy and a tiny bit of cheese curd. After having that unreal burger, the lack of flavor in the poutine was disappointing. Another friend got the smash burger with fries and really enjoyed it too. The modern decor of the restaurant was a nice touch, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Our server was fantastic—she spoke as if it was her own restaurant, didn’t skip a step, and looked after us perfectly. Service and burgers were top-notch. If you’re going, I’d 100% recommend the burgers, but maybe skip the hashbrown poutine.

My husband found this cute spot after the Fredericton Marathon yesterday. He called just as the morning (Mother’s Day!) waitlist ended and we zipped right over there. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was quaint and home-y. The boys devoured their shared pancake and french toast kid’s breakfasts. We ordered one chocolate milk to split because I didn’t want to encounter any washroom breaks on the drive back to Halifax, and the server took the initiative to split it for us. As someone who used to serve, I really appreciate that sort of attention to detail. It makes dining out that much more enjoyable! My husband could barely finish his maritimer’s breakfast and the boys had to help out! I guess we aren’t true maritimers yet, until we can finish that massive plate! I treated myself to the steak and eggs and it was just perfect. Thank you for a great brunch.
