I decided to try Subway's Shawarma for the first time, and unfortunately, I wasn’t satisfied with my experience for a few reasons.
Cold Wrap: The wrap was cold at pickup time, even though I wasn’t late, and I was tracking my order through the app. Disappointing Taste: Once home, I found that the sandwich didn’t taste like shawarma at all. There was hardly any tahini or chicken, and there wasn’t enough sauce, making the sandwich very dry. The rice also had an odd smell, as though it had been left over from another day or pulled straight from the freezer without being properly heated. Overall, the sandwich did not resemble shawarma in taste or presentation. I’m sorry to say it was the worst shawarma sandwich I’ve ever had
Confusing Pickup Process: There was a sign on the counter indicating "Express Order Pick-Up," so I went there to get my order. However, the staff advised me that it was not the correct pickup spot and directed me to the other side of the counter, where there was no clear sign marking it as a pickup area. Additionally, the staff seemed reluctant to help—pointing to the rack without further assistance. I was left to figure out which order was mine, worried I might accidentally take someone else’s order. The store was not busy, and there were four employees at the counter who were not assisting other customers.

Read moreVisited this Subway restaurant today to get their Chimichurri veggie sandwich - it all started well until the point where I had to pay for my sub. The total came to around $16 bucks for a footlong sandwich. I kindly told the cashier that there must have been an error with the total because on the board it said $11.39 plus taxes and you’re overcharging me. She got so defensive and started arguing that it’s showing $14 plus taxes in the system. Again, I kindly asked her to ask someone else as there might’ve been a change or if she doesn’t know about it, she should probably get help from another colleague cause I’m nt paying that much for a sub! “We only have 2 chimichurri options - steak and veggie and it’s $14 for the footlong!” Gosh her tone was so disrespectful and finally when another colleague (guy with a beard and glasses) showed up (i believe his name was Harry/Jerry), she told him that I was the one arguing! However, he was so nice about it and fixed the price on the machine! Big shoutout to Harry/Jerry (sorry if i didnt get your name right)
The other girl with the hijab, next time, try the victim card with someone else. I’m a customer and if I’m being overcharged for something, I at least have the right to ask! There were three girls working at that time—one at the food counter, another sweeping, and one walking around the food area with open hair and not wearing a uniform. I had two pickup orders. After a long wait, a girl named Kiran handed me one of the orders. I politely reminded her that I had another order as well. She rudely responded, “I know,” and then started talking to another girl over her headset. I understand Punjabi, and I could clearly hear that they were talking about me and the customer at the drive-thru window. The way she handed me the second order was extremely disrespectful and rude. This incident happened around 1:05 a.m., (Sept 17) and I strongly suggest that management review the cameras for confirmation. Customer service should always be professional, but in this case, it was completely lacking. My advice is simple: if someone does not like their job, no one is forcing them to stay.
