I'm pretty ticked off with this outfit at the moment, and that's why I've given it an overall 2 star rating. I don't have much of a problem with the food, other than it's usually a little too greasy, and they don't seem to know how to make coleslaw for some reason. It's basically just chopped up white parts of cabbage, with a bit too much coleslaw dressing. Most places that I know that sell it, make it with both red and green shedded and cabbage, shredded carrots, (sometimes some finely chopped green onion), and add just enough creamy dressing, but I guess that at this restaurant, I feel that they think there's always a world shortage in red cabbage and carrots at least. Anyway, that's not the main issue I have right now. I hadn't been there for quite a while, so a couple of weeks ago, on a Friday night, I decided that I would have a fast-food meal. for a change. So, I used my phone to place an online order of a medium fish & chips, with a small coleslaw, as a PICKUP order since I only live 3 blocks from the restaurant. The total order came to around $22.00 (which I feel is always a bit too much since we live in the Atlantic Provinces)! I went and picked it up at the appropriate time. After I got home and had my meal, I was checking my emails, and there was a confirmation email of my order where something caught my eye. I noticed that i had been charged $26.00+. When looking at the price breakdown, there was a $4.00 DELIVERY FEE for Door Dash! WHY?? Since I went and picked up the order personally! The $4.00 is not a big deal, but I couldn't understand why I was charged a Door Dash fee for a pickup order. So, I called the restaurant and spoke with a young lady about it, and she told me that it was the way their online ordering system worked, and that all their orders were now were going through the Door Dash system. I'm not sure that this person really knew what she was talking about, but I continued to discuss the issue, stating that this was ridiculous, and stated that it seemed to be kind of a backdoor ripoff, because how many people would notice that they're being charged a delivery fee to another company, on pickup orders. She said that she understood that it didn't make sense, she would speak with her manager the next day, and that someone would get back to me that day. To date, I haven't heard anything from anyone whatsoever. Honestly, I've been busy and had forgotten about it until Google asked me for my review, but now that it's back in my mind, I will be getting this issue straightened out, so that NO one else gets unknowingly ripped off! Knowing it’s just seafood place I’d expect the lobster roll to be way better; Barely any lobster in it Lettuce in a lob roll? Never seen that in my life No melted butter on the roll? When I asked the lady to add “melted” butter on the side, she forgot! When I went and asked again, she was like oh we have butter but not melted. Then another lady had to tell her to ask the chef. I mean come on, what’s this? U don’t put melted butter in my lob roll and u don’t even serve melted butter? Pretty shocking for a seafood only place! When melted butter was served, it was literally 3 drops in a cup - talk about frugality
To make this experience even worse unfortunately, for comparison. The day before I had a full cooked lobster at wolstoq wharf for 43$, while I paid 32$ for this depressing lobster roll! Pay 11$ and go get yourself a real lobster instead
Also I was expecting that the fish only on the side would be a nice bite to try - unfortunately I was handed a piece of breading It was fresh and crispy! But nearly any fish in it

Read moreI have been customer here for over 20 years. I have found that the service there has gone down hill over 100%. I call in and pick up every week and certain employees will take my order and get it ready for when I get there because I come down from the top of smythe street which is 3 minutes away. today I was at my wit's end. I called, the girl gave me attitude when I asked her if she could have my food ready when I got there. I get there and there's a huge line which I could have avoided if they would have put food together when I asked. I had just wait there for over 10 minutes. The question I had for Williams is what is the definition of a pickup order why would I call it in and you not get it ready if I wanted it there and ready when I got there? I have had many friends work there and quit because of the way they were treated and it shows in the employees. I will end saying this when I did get my food today the girl shoved it in my hand and rolled her eyes when I sat there waiting patiently and even gave my seat to an elderly lady who is waiting for her food. 20 years.... and so disappointed.
