"Le Restaurant 138" might as well hang a sign that says, "Federal Employees Only" because their absurd hours make it clear they’re not interested in serving the rest of us.
Closing at 3 p.m.? Good luck if you actually work for a living and want dinner. And for what? A $25 ticket to disappointment, complete with cold, rubbery cheese curds and fries that could double as an exhibit on food spoilage.
The burger? It’s like they raided a high school cafeteria, slapped it on a plate, and called it a day.
If you're in Hull and craving poutine, do yourself a favor and head to Pataterie Hulloise or Ga Ga Patate in Gatineau. Those spots actually know what they're doing. Le 138? Only go if you’ve exhausted every other option and have zero standards left.

We stopped and were accomodated on their small terrace as the inside tables were occupied. The service was friendly and accommodating. We shared a plate of perfectly crisped calamari as a starter. The near half loaf of bread doused with olive oil and a hint of balsamic diverted is from the calamari. I ordered a sea food pasta and my wife the veal marsala. Pictures are attached. Fresh bread brought to start our meal was delicious. Varied and innovative menu. Lots of tartar and wild boar. Could be improved: Several wasps were by our table so we ended up changing places The antipasto and la planche didn't come with bread or crackers on the side (we wish we'd saved the entrée bread!)
