One of Ottawa's 5 bridges over the Kitchissippi (Ottawa River - Rivière des Outaouais). It has 2 lanes and a third one for buses crossing the river between Ottawa and Gatineau. It also has a wide sidewalk on either side and ample space for bicycles.
As you may be focused on crossing from one side to the next, while looking at the river and the landmarks, you may forget to consider Asinabka (Victoria Island) and how beautiful it must have been over the 9000 years it was inhabited before the Europeans arrived, the fur trade and the logs making their way down the river to the St. Lawrence.

Bike lane is on the east side and is okay heading north, but terror filled heading south. Something about a bus mirror closing in your head at 100 km/h I find discomforting. At least the lane is raised, which, unfortunately, gets that mirror six inches closer to your noggin.
