McDonald's — Restaurant in Georgina

Well. The food was the assembly line quality of bare minimum, carbohydrate laden substinence we have come to expect from McDonald's, so no complaints there. There was enough sugar in the two 'fruit' smoothies to power my kids into a inattentive state of hyperactivity until dinner time (I'm not convinced of the 'fruit', hence the quotations - I'm more certain it's a chemical froth created by a team of scientists with the same ethic as Doctor Frankenstein and Doctor Jekyll). It was expected, so no complaints there, either. My complaint lies with the mad scrabble of consumers gathering around the till with no direction, like a manager or conductor who would at least announce 'form a line here, please'. Instead, we wait with bated breath for someone to say 'next' and then we create a polite mosh pit of 'I was first' until one victor emerges to place their order. So, please, if anyone from McDonald's head office reads this, forward it to the Department of Lines and Orderliness (I have an Orwrellian view of how departments are created at big corporations like this) and ask them to change the work instruction and process for ordering to include the line 'please assemble in front...

This review is for a food item, not the location or service received, but this is where I tried it. I ordered my first mcVeggy sandwich to see what it was like. I eat meat as well, but I like vegetarian options and order them often at A&W.

McDonald's, this sandwich is slop. No effort whatsoever in making something people will actually enjoy. I bet this gets discontinued fast. I get McDonald's daily for coffee only, and this won't help change that. It's abysmal. Some mayo and chopped lettuce and that's it. And a patty that has poor texture and flavor. For the same money I can buy an A&W crispy veggie burger and it has a nice bun, actual lettuce pieces, tomato, onions, mayo and the best freaking veggie patty I've ever had. The texture is great, you can see the vegetable pieces inside and the flavor is great. Night and day for the same price and equivalent product.

Does McDonald's corporate and their food scientist/chefs not realize how bad they are at their jobs? Go eat a crispy veggie at A&W. Your food is garbage. I'll stick with your coffee and cookies for now, can't eat...

This review is for the Wal-Mart location. Two days ago (Apr 08, 2025) ordered double quarter pound cheesy with jalapeño and bacon. Given a plain double quarter pounder - no cheesy sauce, no jalapeño, and no bacon. Told staff of the error and showed them my receipt and the burger(i did not ask for a new burger, I just ate the plain one I was given. Didn't want to waste and have it tossed.) Today, Apr 10 2025, ordered the same special double quarter pounder cheesy jalapeño with bacon.... this time it had the cheesy and jalapeño BUT no bacon. None.

It's not difficult. Just pay attention to what the customer has ordered and paid for, then assemble that burger for them. Please do better and pay attention. If you don't take care of your customers, somebody else (different...
