We're visiting from out of town and this unassuming little bakery/cafe is blowing our minds! The owner is so friendly and makes you feel at home. The selection of baked goods, pastries, breakfast, and lunch fare is amazing. We first stopped by right before closing hoping to snag a snack for the road and were overwhelmed with how good everything looked. As cinnamon bun fanatics, we selected the sticky bun. The young lady at the counter let us take our time, even though they were closing, and then offered to warm it up for us too! We're so glad she did! The sticky bun here is the most amazing cinnamon bun-esque thing we have ever eaten (and we always try the cinnamon bun/sticky bun wherever we go). The sticky sauce had almost a toffee flavour and definitely a hint of molasses. It was amazing.

We loved it so much here we had to stop by again the next morning to have the leek quiche we had eyed up the day before. Also amazing. Best pastry crust EVER! The filling was light and flavourful. Perfectly balanced with the richness of the crust. Also had the banana cream cheese walnut muffin = to die for, and got two scones to go for later. Their Umbria coffee is the cherry on top!

I just can’t help but gush about my absolute favorite bakery in Gibsons! From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in the warmest and coziest atmosphere, making it feel like a home away from home. Every visit is like a delightful escape into a world of heavenly aromas and comforting ambiance. And the owners are always very kind and friendly, absolutely wonderful people.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show – the food! Every bite is a taste of perfection. The banana walnut muffin is a heavenly treat, the croissants are buttery and flaky, and the almond croissants are simply divine. And the lentil bisque? It’s out of this world! Especially with a slice of their amazing ciabatta bread.

I must confess, I have a weakness for everything they make. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality shine through in every bite. And let’s not forget about their coffee – it’s a magical potion that adds an extra layer of joy to my day.

Highlight of our trip to the Sunshine Coast. Seemed to be a very popular spot for locals, and we quickly found out why. Warm, friendly, and attentive service despite their busy-ness. We ordered a cheese basil scone, cinnamon bun, omelette, and Americano Misto to-go. Scone was so flavourful and amazingly moist inside with a crispy outer. Omelette was so soft and perfectly cooked, mushrooms and cheese filling was delicious and well-seasoned. Smashed potatoes on the side were a pleasant surprise - well caramelized on both sides with that high-heat oil on pan aroma...delicious pillowy bread to go with it and well-tossed salad. The food was too inviting that we forgot to take photos before digging in. We will definitely be recommending Sheer Bliss as a must-go...
