Perfect little museum for this town. Admission is by donation and the staff is very friendly. I enjoyed looking at all the exhibits and reading about the history. There is also a corner dedicated to the Beachcombers!

Lots of interesting informative about the past. It’s a nice place to stop by if you are visiting Gibsons BC. Maybe a bit challenging for a 3-year old to enjoy it lol. The staff was very helpful and friendly! ❤️

Visited the museum with my mom. Admission is by donation. What a charming museum and enjoyed learning about the history of the Sunshine Coast Loved the curator's sense of humor!

What a lovely way to end our trip! I only wish I could go back more often to really take in each item. I was so impressed with how fancy some of the antiques are! You might think that people living so far from a city in such an era would have more rustic homes, but I guess if you have the money in any era you buy what you can to make your life more enjoyable! The embroidered speaker, beautiful kitchens, and photographs of old students are so charming! I wish the museum sold more prints of the steamship tours ads! They would make...

This was a pretty disappointing museum. The displays were dusty and poorly lit so you couldn't see a lot of detail. Much of it was kind of boring - and I am someone who really likes museums. There were 2 employees there who didn't seem to be doing anything but sitting in a side office and talking, when they could have been cleaning up the displays and making them more appealing. Considering there's not a lot to do in Sechelt area this should be more of a priority...

Despite living on/traveling to the Sunshine Coast on & off for almost 20 years, this was my first time visiting the museum. I brought my daughter, who fell completely in love with the butterflies. For myself, learning about the first settlers of the Coast, as well as the Indigenous communities was fascinating. It's by donation, which is great; my only wish is that it was more wheelchair/stroller accessible. Otherwise, it's a lovely...
