My teenage son was impatient after school and couldn't wait to go home for dinner, so we decided to make a stop at Wendy's. I ordered a hamburger for him and a small Sprite. The girl at the drive through did not hear the soft drink well or purhaps did not understand my accent, so I had to repeat three times. When I went to the window, to make sure no mistake was made, I asked her can you please repeat my order to me. She told me I ordered the hamburger and small french fries. At that moment I said no, no potatoes, while waving my fingers at the same time, Sprite! .. She immediately got angry and started shouting at me telling me not to shake my fingers at her. I immediately told her that she misunderstood, I did not wave my finger at her, when I speak I move my hands which many people do when they speak! Without wanting to accept what I explained to her, she continued to shout hysterically and closed the window in my face, telling me that she would not give me my order and to leave! I waited there for almost five minutes with a row of cars behind me. The window did not open and so I left. I thought about going in, but my son was shocked by her behavior and begged me not to. But immediately I got on the phone, I wanted to talk to resolve the misunderstanding. I ask to talk to the manager. I was told to wait and after a minute I heard voices and one women screaming in the back ground, and then the line went dead. I called my son's wife and told her what had happened. She also got on the phone to try to tell her that I did not want to offend the girl only that I speak alot with my hands. even though she explained it, (my son's wife) the girl who I had the misunderstanding with also happens to also be the (manager) of the store, was not kind to my son's wife either! She started shouting at her and when she told her that we had chosen to resolve the misunderstanding this way and not through social media, she threateningly told her that she had taken my licence plate number from my car! She asked her why she took it, and for what reason?
Then, without answering, she hung up the phone in her face!

The first time we arrived at 10:18PM. They close at 10:30PM. The person over the drive thru speaker asked us to "wait a second". Boy did we ever wait. 10 minutes later I realize the employees have locked up and left...us at the window. You could have atleast told us that you weren't going to serve us. Not waste our time sitting there and try to sneak out the side door. Really?
The second time they actually let us order food. This time we arrived at 10:16PM. Placed our order. Tried to order the homestyle chicken sandwich and were told it will take 7 minutes and that they close soon so they "won't" make it.
Not that they "can't" make it, they WONT. Also I'd like to add that one of the other employees yelled at us to "go away".
I understand the "laid back atmosphere" of the Sunshine Coast, but the future of businesses and economics depends on the growth of said businesses. If your operating hours state closing time is 10:30PM, you have to work until then and most likely past that time. If you don't want to work at a place like Wendy's, there is many other places to find a job. You are not forced to work there. I definitely think this place needs an overhaul because honestly this would not fly anywhere else. You would be out of business by now.

The 3rd one had 1 square inch of lettuce .... they also tend to mess up the order frequently so check before you drive off. Went in today and used the bathroom, it was morning and you would think it's freshly cleaned but no, spit on walls toilet paper everywhere. No paper towels just a blower to fully cover you in any germs. The person serving me couldn't get the order right even though I repeated it 5 times in perfect english, couldn't even be bothered to to look up and make any sort of eye contact. Isn't there an English proficiency test, should I learn Tagalog to make an order that actually gets filled correctly?
