It took about 15 minutes to receive our order while waiting in store. I spoke to a young man who I believe may have been the manager, and asked him why the drive-thru appeared to get priority over those in the store. I was told that that was management directive, and that "they aren't Mcdonald's and don't do things fast". To which I replied that if they want to be competitive, they SHOULD do things fast. Making drive-thru customers priority and making in-store customers wait is totally disrespectful of in-store customers. To top it all off, the order was wrong but by then we were so frustrated that we just ate and left. Will not be back. Mcdonald's is sounding pretty good.
They have no clue of how to allocate resources during busy times. Putting the "new girl" on sandwich making is completely ridiculous and poor planning, and it frustrates customers. Or maybe they just don't care because this is such a busy restaurant in a high traffic location on the Transcanada Highway that they'll get business no matter what. Just forget customer satisfaction completely.
If you like Tim's so much that you can't do anything else, I would recommend trying the other ones in town. The extra 5 minutes will probably...
Read moreThis was one of the worst serviced Tim Hortons I've been to. They were more concerned with pumping orders through rather than logically managing and fulfilling orders. I went in simply for a coffee and donut for my road trip. I paid up front, received my donut and then fully expecting that the young lady that was taking my order, to spend the 30 seconds to pour my coffee and hand it to me given that they were clearly short staffed. Instead I was given a number....and waited as if ordering food. Ridiculous. And no Tim Hortons I've been to previously had me take a number just for coffee. At the very least the person at the till may not pour the coffee, but at least someone was quick enough to understand that coffee is 30 seconds vs a sandwich and would send the coffee out immediately. Also they need to teach their staff some basic manners. A hello, a smile....something. I get that they are busy, but the manager who runs the place really needs to rethink their service...
Read moreAnybody expecting gourmet food options at Tim Horton’s is dumb. Their food lineup is the worst in fast food. All frozen garbage just heated up. I ordered the bacon everything flatbread “pizza”. Now, bring the expectations down to Tim Horton’s level, and this greatly exceeds my expectations. It is a solid offering. Basically tastes like an everything bagel with cheese on it. This particular store hikes prices on food items by 50 cents and on drink beverages by 20 cents, so I say avoid this one and go across the highway to the one on the north side of hwy 1. They are simply robbing customers. Also got a retro walnut crunch - a fantastic donut. Again, using the low bar of a Tim Horton’s food offering - their donuts are the worst in the industry. Overall this was a fine meal, but only if you understand what Tim Horton’s is offering in the food department: frozen, heated up mass produced lowest common denominator “food” products. Go to the DQ next door because they slay every...
