Worst Chinese buffet experience I have ever had from the moment I stepped inside the restaurant. Immediately, we were greeted with a very strange, musty smell you wouldn’t expect in a restaurant. The sign inside asked us to please wait to be seated. There was one large party there and two tables. It was not busy at all. We waited 2 minutes at the door before I poked my head around the corner to let the lady working know we were there. We were told to pick a table but we were not asked if we wanted menus or the buffet so we just sat out stuff in our booth and headed for the buffet…..well….the variety was not good and the food did not look fresh. I paused before taking any and pondered if I we should just leave and go to the other place I was thinking of trying because I didn’t think there was any way the food would look worse somewhere else and there wasn’t a whole lot of choices. Maybe 16 different things and nothing was labelled to let customers know what things were. Nothing was overly hot, the rice was terrible, so was the chow mein. The only things we enjoyed were the honey garlic ribs and the chicken wings. The food was old, dry, and not good at all. I love egg rolls, I didn’t finish mine. Anything fried was over cooked or burnt. The sweet and sour sauce for the overcooked chicken balls was like jelly, not smooth at all. Our waitress did not come to check on us except once when she topped up our water and I had to go find her to get more at one point. There was no dessert which I have never seen at a Chinese buffet before. I expressed my disappointment while paying my bill of $52.80😱 (for two people), and the server didn’t seem to care much. I know I will never be back and will never recommend this place to anyone. Also, I have never left a Chinese buffet not feeling full and I did here. Very unhappy with this place.
I tried to give this a zero star rating but it was...
Read moreOrdered some take away from here today for dinner. Two orders of the #4 combo (egg roll, chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, lemon chicken and garlic spare ribs). I wanted fried noodles so I asked to make sure that’s what chow mein was (google said it was, it was not) the host was very sweet and explained to me I wanted lo mein instead so I subbed our chow mein for lo mein. I got the food in about 15 minutes, cooked fresh and hot and the portion for the cost was amazing, enough food to feed 2 people in one combo. I will definitely order from here again, it is a shame they don’t have buffet anymore but still worth the money to get some take out or dine in. Restaurant was clean and quiet, would dine in...
Read moreIf you are looking for quantity over quality this may be the place for you. We tried the vegetable fried rice and vegetable lo mein, which is my usual order at any Chinese restaurant They did not have a veggie egg roll or veggie spring roll so I couldn’t get those.
The variety of vegetables used was very skimpy, barley any bean sprouts even. The broccoli was the main vegetable and it was not a fresh broccoli, all the florets were yellowing.
The noodles and rice were dry and bland but def not the worst I’ve ever tried Definitely middle of the road Chinese food. The reason for three star instead of two star was quantity, the container was huge and overflowing and it was...
