Five Guys — Restaurant in Grande Prairie

Worst ever. I ordered a large fries and the expensive bacon burger with everything on it. To go. I did not look in my bag until my next stop. Here they apparently didn't have large fry containers or something cause I ended up with a half a bag of fries not contained, loose in a paper bag, on top of which they place a cup of fries. Needless to say the fry grease in the paper bag went right thru onto my car seat! Now I have an oil stain. At least the fries tasted good hot. Haha. But the burger, despite having, fried mushrooms, onions, tomato, cheese, pickles,bacon lettuce and everything else they offer...... it had absolutely NO flavour. None. For a 14 dollar burger and a 25$ meal.... awful. I don't know how you run a business like this. Those burgers should taste amazing. If I wanted a no flavor burger I'd buy from superstore. Not from a supposedly "top buger" chain. Come on, you have like 5 burgers on your menu and fries. How can you screw up on something you do every.single.day. don't eat here... get a McDonald's burger. At least you can...

I had the pleasure of stopping in for a late night bite here before the new Covid restrictions take effect. 5 guys is quite consistent as a general statement, both in food quality and cleanliness of the restaurant but today was certainly a stand-out for me.

I was the only person in the restaurant outside of 2 take out / delivery pick ups. There were were 4 staff working at the time - 8:45 - 9:15pm. 3 males and 1 female. I was greeted warmly and served happily. My order came out in a timely fashion and was exactly as I had asked. Good quality was excellent.

While the staff weren't cooking, they were cleaning, so diligently, all of them. The female was sweeping and tending to the seating area and each of the males were scrubbing various things in the kitchen area - grill, countertops etc.

It would have been so easy to sit and do nothing so late at night but the staff here clearly takes pride in their restaurant and it shows. A true pleasure of a 'fast-food'...

Okay, I went here because I hear such wonderful things about it. Do NOT go on a Saturday Evening because it's DISGUSTING. Honestly, it was FILTHY inside. I couldn't even eat my food in there so took it to go. Apparently because I took it to go, it's not as good quality. Apparently the food is better eaten freshly served in the restaurant. I ate with friends and they told me it's not normally like the shape it was in.

Burger was decent, I prefer the salted fries over the cajun seasoned fries. It's "build a burger" style, so that was new to me. Not LOTS of topping options, but just enough to create a good burger.

It surprised me to see free Peanuts. Lol. BAGS of them. There's an open box full of them at the food pickup counter, and you can scoop a bunch into a paper bin. All peanut shells apparently end up on the floor, all over the tables, anywhere apparently.

I found it all gross. I hit it on a bad day apparently?? I would go back to give it...
