Ordered the fish n chips - substituted for yam fries. First, I was told the full order came with 1 large, long piece of fish. I expected a large piece, especially for the horrendous price. THIS is not a large piece. Secondly, I expected to have a larger serving of fries considering I paid an extra $4 for yam fries. The serving was less than a small handful. Pictures provided. You can make up your own mind.

On positive side: fish batter was crispy and tasted good. The fries tasted good. The coleslaw was good, made with red and green cabbage. The chipotle mayo was homemade. It had a different flavor I didn't expect but still good.

However, VERY disappointed with serving size to price ratio. Waaayyy overpriced for what I got. I paid $26 for a serving size worth half. This was my first time eating here while staying at the Stanford. Will I go back????

No. I will not return. I'm not rich. I will go where my dollar gets good value for my meal. I wish I could get half...

We are regulars that go to sips every two weeks for the last couple years. They hired new staff recently and we have never had worse customer service before. She was extremely rude, and would hardly check up on us for more drink orders. At one point she bluntly said she was not going to come out and check on us anymore if we wanted another drink we would have to go to the bar ourselves. When we didnt tip her because she wasnt doing her JOB she became very angry and aggressive. Management said they would take care of the situation however we wont be returning. We had an party planned and was in constant communication. Everything was going smooth. Until two days before our event the manager contacted me canceling our event due to a double booking. Noone could confirm when this other group booked however the manager decided to cancel ours and not theirs. So now they have lost 30+ people who come regularly. Enjoy the...

How on earth this place has 4 stars is beyond me. We literally left when served our food this evening. Everything was over cooked orders were wrong. They should really consider a new chef… that the chef let that slop out of his kitchen and called that food someone should pay for is garbage human behaviour. I would have felt guilty for even serving this to the homeless. Chicken parm… cut up chicken strip or 2 on a bed of over cooked pasta mixed with jar tomato sauce… minimal parm if any and almost no flavour. Over cooked fries and chicken burger. Do better guys no one wants to eat...
