Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

Remodel looks great but staff will ignore you if you try to order at the inside counter (outside of very busy times obviously). Waited an excessively long time for service and was ignored. Looked right at me and continued serving drive thru. I'd avoided this location in the past for the most part cause it's always been inaccurate - not sure why this particular location has such a hard time making drinks correctly? Been like that for many years though. Last time I risked going there was chewed out for not calling ahead when I wanted one of those to-go things of coffee (box - holds 10 small coffees I think?), one dozen donuts and six cookies. If you can't handle that order without planning ahead you have no business in fast food - that's NOT a huge order. Sorry I went back and gave it another chance. Go to another location if you want Timmies - this one is still really bad despite the facelift. Reflects poorly in the brand - kinda surprised all the effort and money spent on improving the building but not improving...

Once upon a time, this was the closest Tim Hortons to where I live and a mandatory stop whenever we were on the road, just to get reacquainted with that iconic coffee and occasional baked treat. Times have changed and maybe its me, but their coffee has lost its unique flavour. They still haven't gotten the Dark Roast right: strong enough flavour but a big hit of chocolate too. And with Covid restrictions, one can enter to use the one functional washroom, which is shared by everyone. That is great until someone inconsiderate locks themselves in. Counter service is cheerful and relatively quick, and the array of sandwiches and baked goods looks as tempting as ever. Drive through service is quick and efficient. I will never forget the day I stopped here and there was a man panhandling up front claiming he needed money for a bus ticket to Timmins. It was cold and near closing time so I brought him inside to order whatever he wanted to eat and more if he wanted to pack for tomorrow. We were waiting for the food to be prepared and the manager came over. I was getting all prepared to fight that we should be able to eat inside until closing time for food we bought (even if the man was odiferous) Instead the manager came and offered, once we were done eating that he would pay for the ticket if the man were to mop the floors and help clean up.
