barBURRITO — Restaurant in Guelph

Could have given -5 star but there is no option. We had a very unpleasant experience at BarBurrito. The staff was extremely rude when we politely asked for a few extra chips with our order. Even after offering to pay extra, the server refused in an unprofessional and impolite manner, insisting that we purchase chips separately as a side.

What made the experience even worse was that the server had two friends on-site who were going behind the serving counter, which is completely unprofessional and raises serious hygiene and safety concerns. It gave the impression that the staff had little regard for proper restaurant conduct.

We had planned to order 16 bowls but, due to the poor customer service, ended up purchasing only 4. When we voiced our concern respectfully, the server unnecessarily escalated the situation and even threatened to call the police — despite there being no dispute or raised voices from our side. At that point, we decided to leave entirely.

This was an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Based on this visit, I would not recommend this...

I’m genuinely concerned on the health and safety of this location. When I first entered the store, right away there was no smell indicating that any food was actively being cooked, 2nd none and I mean none of the vegetables seemed fresh at all they looked like they have been sitting there for days maybe weeks. And I ordered crispy chicken but there was nothing crispy about it it tasted and looked like it was setting in some fridge for days. 3rd I’m preety sure one of the chicken pieces I had was not chicken, I still feel nauseous thinking about it. 4th this locations queso tastes no where near other locations, it was as good as melted sliced plastic cheese. 5th idk what the employee was doing in the back for 10 minutes while I was waiting for the food … seems sus. Anyways it’s been 8 hours and still have stomach aches but the body temperature went down maybe it was food poisoning idk. Never some here ....

The lady working here doesn’t have any sense of customer service. Doesn’t make any thing right, I asked for some more chips as she just got 3-4 tiny chips on a large 15$ burrito, she bluntly refused. She literally cracked 3 chips for 30$ worth of order, I still offered to pay extra for chips still she was so desperate to complete the order as her friends were waiting for her in store and I was unheard, didn’t want to even assemble burrito well. No enough sauce no enough toppings. Awful customer service, attendant had her friends sitting in restaurant and chilling . TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. We were there to order 16 bowls walked out with 4 and never come again. Congratulations owner, you lost some good chunk of business...
