BE CAREFUL: I received pretty horrible food poisoning after ordering their chicken shawarma on rice.

I popped-in to try this new place, and while it looked clean and the interior was appealing, I was met with employees who seemed like they were somewhat annoyed to see a customer walk-in, despite it not being near closing time. I can't say I felt welcome in the shop. However, while very concise, the person serving me was very pleasant and patient.

Now, for the food - it was decent in terms of flavor and price, if not being a bit on the expensive side when taking the portion size into account. I ordered a chicken shawarma on rice, and the sauces were good, and the chicken wasn't dry.

However, several hours later, in the middle of the night, I woke-up to horrible food poisoning. If you want to avoid violent puking and diarrhea for about 2 hours straight, be careful. We recently ordered the family platter from Them and drove all the way from Cambridge to Guelph for it, but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. Half of the shawarma wrap was empty, and there was barely any chicken. The wrap was so loosely made that it fell apart before we could even pick it up. It was frustrating to see everything end up on the plate instead of staying in the wrap.

It was clear the staff didn’t know how to wrap the shawarma properly, and the overall experience felt like the restaurant wasn’t prepared to welcome customers. We were really looking forward to enjoying this meal, but it didn’t meet expectations at all.

I hope the team takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the quality and presentation...
