Upon entering the store, my friend and I were immediately greeted by a dangerously wet floor with no visible caution signage. This presented a serious slip hazard, and we were both shocked by the condition of the establishment. I later noticed the caution sign was tucked away in the corner, completely out of view. I took a photo of the scene, which I’ve attached for your reference. Despite the floor conditions, we proceeded to place our orders. My friend ordered one spicy and one original combo, and I ordered a two-piece spicy combo with coleslaw. During the order process, the cashier pressed us to leave a 5-star review for the location, which felt inappropriate given the circumstances. Shortly after, the cashier informed us that there was no spicy chicken available and that the wait would be long. Since I had also ordered spicy, they asked my friend to switch her order so I could receive my two-piece, and she would instead receive a large original chicken breast. We agreed to this compromise. However, the entire experience left us unsettled. The most troubling part is that we had initially considered bringing my mother along — who requires a cane to walk. I shudder to think of the potential consequences had she entered first and slipped on that floor. This was a serious safety violation, and it deeply concerns me as a customer and community member. Unfortunately, I do not have the receipt, but I’ve attached the photo I took before leaving as confirmation of my visit (total purchase was $16.94). While my family has always enjoyed Mary Brown’s, this incident has seriously impacted my trust in the brand. I would appreciate a prompt response to this issue, and I hope that proper action will be taken to ensure the safety of all customers...
Read moreThis is moreso a response to busybee below me. I was there when you came into the restaurant and threw a fit, ma'am. It sounded a lot like you were just trying to pick a fight to get some sweet deals. They were short staffed during dinner hour. Dinner hour. The line was huge when I walked in. It's called being busy, and if you were half as smart as you think you are, you'd have known that around 6pm that restaurants are busy.
You went in and stormed the front counter in a fit of rage. I called you out and stuck up for the staff because you decided to be disrespectful to people who would get in trouble if they talked back to you. Really cowardly behaviour on your part if we're being honest. I called head office immediately after your immature behaviour to ensure that they knew you were completely out of line.
Your son looked so embarassed at how you were behaving. I really felt sorry for him. I'm not one to give parenting advice, but you're not doing him any favours by behaving like that in front of him. It's a good thing he looked aghast at your behaviour because I hope he doesn't grow up to be like his immature momma.
My mom would rip me in half like a piece of paper if I behaved the way you did.
The staff at this location are so kind and genuine. The food is always 🔥🔥. Great atmosphere and welcoming. Great food that they clearly take their time with and make sure...
Read moreIf I could give my experience zero stars on here I would. The food was disgusting. I came at noon and the place was empty (probably saying something there). I had my 1.5 year old child with me and she wouldn't sit in the seat. I let her walk around since no one was even in the store so that I could try to finish my lunch. She ran behind the counter (we were sitting right next to it) and as I was apologizing, one of the employees yelled at me and told me to stop letting my child walk around the store on her own. She told me that I had to keep her in the high chair or we could leave. I have never felt so unwelcome in my life. I'm not an idiot and if there were other customers sitting and eating, I wouldn't have let her walk around the store. I'm pregnant, exhausted, and was hungry. I just wanted to be able to eat some of my meal before heading back out to finish our shopping and not have to worry about my daughter trying to climb out of a high chair that is on wheels and moves around! This very rude employee obviously does not have any children and deserves to be fired for observing such terrible customer service skills. Your Google page says that this place is kid friendly... ya right. Children are not welcome whatsoever. I will be speaking with head office about this...
