This is for take out so service won't be taken into account. There's a dedicated door and counter for takeout orders which is a huge plus. I ordered the beef rib with coleslaw and the house salad with 2x 3oz Burnt ends and 2x 3oz Brisket add-on. The beef rib was larger than the takeout container so it was put into a separate bag. Unfortunately, the bone will poke through it so if you take too long to get it home and unpacked sauce and beef juice will leak all over the items under it. The rib itself was tender and fall off the bone. Soft enough to cut with a metal spoon along the fibres. The apple butter sauce is sweet and smokey. 25cm long bone with around 18cm of that covered in meat. The serving is quite large and filling. The meal came with cornbread, coleslaw and the house salad. The corn bread seems to be baked individually in a square muffin tray. The outer parts are dry and crumbly while the centre is moist. It's sweet but not overly so. Good to nibble throughout the meal or to save for the end as a dessert if you are not a sweets person. The coleslaw was shredded cabbage and carrots. Slightly sweet and sour with a lingering taste of celery. Very light in every sense. Nice to refresh the palette. The house salad consists of purple romaine lettuce, red spinach, cherry tomatoes, shredded carrot, croutons, and cucumber slices. Pretty standard. The rib is flavourful enough to eat the salad plain. All in all the rib set is great and I'll definitely get it again.
Unfortunately, not everything was a winner. The add-ons burnt ends and brisket were okay to down right disappointing. The burnt ends had literal burnt pieces mixed in that are indistinguishable from charcoal and were inedible. The pieces themselves were all lean pieces with no fat. They had a smokey and sweet flavour. They were dry but they don't dry out your mouth when eating them. If you like lean and sweet meat then this is for you. Not my style but I can see the appeal. The brisket add-on was massively disappointing. No smoke ring, no sauce, no seasoning. I couldn't tell the difference between it and a boiled brisket. It was completely crumbled in the container. Don't recommend it to anyone.
In conclusion, I'll get the rib again but avoid the add-ons for the...

Update on November 15th 2022.
We (my family and I), come to Montana's at least once a week.
We try to seat at the bar area when we can in order to enjoy and watch the games on their tv's.
Most of the time we are served by Tom. He is always very polite, friendly and helpful. His service is exceptional, I don't even have to ask or tell him what I'm going to drink... he brings my drink right away.
The service is always great and the food just awesome and delicious.
Fully recommended 😉😁😎🤟🏻🇨🇦🍁

Read moreWe went to Montana’s for a lovely supper on a Saturday evening. We didn’t make reservations, I am not certain if they even accept them. We just took our party of 5 and hoped and prayed we wouldn’t wait too long. We were seated immediately in a nice booth! Our server was great. He gave us time to look over the drink menus, appetizers & the full menu yet he didn’t disappear forever making us wait. Which was awesome. We were able to order all of our drinks appetizers and our main dishes when he came back. The appetizers came before the main dishes which was a bonus; we all know that often doesn’t happen and we were able to finish our appetizers before the main dishes arrived. I like this, I hate feeling rushed and having a dozen dishes on the table. Our meals were all delicious. Absolutely no mistakes were made. Everything was cooked perfectly. Which is fantastic considering two steaks medium rare were ordered that night. I happened to pay for 4 out of the 5 meals that would include two alcoholic beverages, my bill before the tip came to 108.35. I found that to be extremely reasonable. I have been to Montana’s on several occasions, this location in particular. I have always had a great experience. Good food, good service, clean restaurant, nice family atmosphere, with reasonable prices. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has not...
