Mr.Sub — Restaurant in Guelph

Just walked out because they refused to sell me my order because I commented one was for my dog.... she said she needed to charge me for every topping on all the subs, because the owner said because it was for my dog.... I have called head office. I have never been so offended by a establishment in my life. Mr. Sub has been my favourite for years and we had commented going into the store how great the location in Oakville was a couple weeks ago… And this has totally destroyed that reputation. One of the comments that I had said to the owner was it was none of her business he was going to eat the sub if it was my dog or if I was to give it to a homeless person… And she said no no no dog no eat my sub… No two homeless men either I charge you more

The owner was not only rude, angry, but actually kind of scary how she profusely started to sweat and scream at me. While I was on the phone to head office. Where I was only able to leave a message. I walked out and did not give this establishment any of my services. And she's followed me to the door demanding that I pay for everything because it's for my dog.... she wanted to charge me what I would assume to be four times the price of a sub

So this mr sub needs more people who enjoy it as much as my father and I to write reviews. Alot of happy customers don't leave reviews but the ones who want to complain do.

My father has been eating mr sub for over 35 years (never subway) and this mr sub has the freshest ingredients to this day as he says and I agree. The owners/employees are friendly and quick. I come here religously every week.

Regarding the poor reviews for delivery. You cant put the delivery services on these people, its a 3rd party delivery service. And as an ex delivery driver, drivers dont care. They care about one thing and thats money.

I seen a review for saying they are cheap and dont put enough ingredients on. As a 6'3 210Ibs man i can assure you they load the subs up so i was actually surprised to see a review regarding that.

Look, this is hands down the best mr sub. Give it a shot I promise you will enjoy it. Ignore the negative reviews, some people just look for something to complain about. Its 2022. (Sorry for my google name, its my gamertag as the email is connected to my pc...

Their subs are quite good, but the staff is poorly trained and doesn’t honor promotions properly. They only ever have a single person working the store and on my recent visit they could not correctly apply the SPC student discount.

Upon calling the store owner the employee was told to apply a 10% discount amounting to $1, even with me showing the SPC website on my phone indicating a $2 discount. At that point the employee simply handed me the phone to talk to the owner and went to help other customers, which I felt was very rude and unprofessional of them. I didn't really know what to do and the manager refused to believe me even after I asked her to simply look up the deal, so I just left without my food.

Considering they have an SPC sticker on their door, I would expect proper training on the specifics of the promotion and how to apply it. I don’t think I’ll...
