Guelph Latin Market is an amazing little store that it's worth checking out.

They have lots of options regarding Latin food, ingredients and delicious candies, waffles, and cookies, wtc for your sweet tooth.

Also, they have an amazing selection for frozen entries, perfect for a party, gathering, etc. They are already pre-made. they just need to be cooked, baked, and/or warm up.

I was assisted by Silvia. She was very friendly, polite, and super helpful.

You don't have to be a Latin person in order to be delighted with the amazing options that they offer.

You can also get gifts and clothes accessories. They also make piñatas 🪅

The empanadas I bought from the Spanish grocer were absolutely amazing! When I was there buying piloncillo the man delivering the empanadas was at the cash. He said that he makes the best empanadas in town, so I had to give them a try and am I ever glad I did. I would recommend all flavours because they are all outrageously good.

Tons of unique ingredients from all types of hot sauces, sauces, frozen goods, a wide assortment of dried and smoked chillies from all reaches of the globe, a variety of spices and much, much more.

This is on the top of my list for hidden gems of downtown Guelph. Absolutely worth checking out, and...

Mis ojos veían pero mi mente se resistía a comprender. Cómo era posible que, a unas cuantas cuadras de la magnífica Basílica de Nuestra Señora Inmaculada, de Guelph, Ontario, Canadá, existiera un lugar dedicado a la gastronomía no sólo de México sino de cada país latinoamericano.

Abigarrados estantes y en cada nivel productos con etiquetas inverosímiles a punto de desbordarse. Cada centímetro de pared libre, ocupado por cartones con ilustraciones relativas a los productos que, cual escamas, pendían en hileras multicolores de sobres con algún contenido.

Un museo viviente de sabores y aromas potenciales, vivos colores y texturas. Una manera de ser diferente y a la vez compartida. De un estante a otro un cambio de país. Otra frontera.

Un desfile de banderas, marcas y maneras diferentes de hacer de la comida una identidad, una cultura; patrimonios intangibles de la humanidad juntos, todos dentro de un local marcado con el # 101, de Wyndham St. de la muy bella (y cosmopolita) ciudad de Guelph.

Qué privilegio para los miles de estudiantes de su Universidad y habitantes en general, de poder contar con ese mosaico multicultural. Poder tener acceso al deporte, al arte, a la tecnología y, con este “Latino Market”, a las diferentes gastronomías de todo un Continente hermano.
