Bad experiences here. Both myself and my friend made the decision to go for live music, and we don't really drink for personal reasons. The bouncer insulted us both, and engaged in extremely threatening behavior because we "only spent money on bands and not on the bar." This crosses a line for both of us as due to family issues with addiction, we don't drink. Don't go here. The bouncer is abusive and should be fired.
I should also add that we are both disabled, and being yelled at and insulted is extremely challenging for us both.
Make your own decisions on where you want to spend your money. I, for one, won't be back. The Seahorse will get our business...
   Read moreVery small, dark, and low key bar. Vlt machines take up a large portion of the room, small bar with a decent selection but only accepts debit and cash. They share the space with Taco Lina's so food is available through them but you have to purchase food and drinks individually (Gus' pub supplies the drinks). We visited during burger week (taco linas) and it was quite busy, probably around 15 tables in the room. There's also a small stage for live entertainment.    Read moreThe definition of a dive bar, but that's what is appealing about the place, a no frills, dark, dingy hole in the wall that attracts a decent size crowd when local bands rock out the place. Somehow they keep getting these amazing restaurants that open and close once every couple years, so you never know what kind of delicious food you'll get when you show up, one day you'll be enjoying the best burger in town and the next day will no longer offer any burgers at all, but the best donuts in the city...
