I recently ordered takeout from Shandiz Mid-East Restaurant and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service. The ordering process was seamless and my order was ready on time, making it a stress-free experience.

The food was simply outstanding! I ordered the addas soup and grapevine leaves for appetizers and for the main dish I had the chelow shishlick kebab and the shandiz kebab mashti, both of which were incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was packed neatly, ensuring that the dishes weren't mixed.

The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that my order was complete and that everything was to my liking. They even included utensils, napkins, and a complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch.

We came across this place on Google after searching for halal food. Shandiz serves an authentic Persian cuisine. The kids enjoyed the food. They were hungry. Although the koobideh was dry and the chicken was not consistently cooked some parts were over done.

The atmosphere is quite elegant, bright and clean. We ordered take out because we arrived late into Halifax from Ottawa with three young hungry and tired kids.

We placed the order on the phone in order to buy some time as it was already 8pm and we were told it would take 25 mins. We arrived around 815pm and waited outside the store for another 40 mins. What's frustrating is that the worker did not prioritize our order and showed complete lack of consideration of the fact that we pre ordered to not wait with cranky kids.

There was a group of four eating in, and an Uber order going at the same time and clearly they could not manage 3 orders, sadly we got the worst of the service maybe because it was take out?

Expect to wait one hour if more than one order is...

My family and I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant today, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by a polite man who made us feel right at home. We ordered a Chelo Kebab, a Jojeh Kebab, and Lentil Soup. While our food was being prepared, we took the opportunity to explore the adjacent Persian shop, which had an open door connecting to the restaurant. The shop was managed by a young and helpful gentleman. We found some interesting items there, including Doogh Abali, and were pleasantly surprised by the fair pricing. Returning to our table, we were first served the Lentil Soup. It was nothing short of amazing – a perfect start to our meal. The Kebabs was fresh with a fantastic taste that lingered delightfully on our palates. This was our first visit, but given the exceptional food and service, it certainly won't be our last.
