used to order from here regularly. Always got the donair Nachos and the metro club wrap.
Order today and got what I always get. Waited 45 minutes for it. Sat down excited since it's been a while since I ordered there and then actually laughed when i opened the box of nachos at how pathetic it was.
It was at least 1/3rd smaller, closer to half the size, than it used to be and there was barely a childsized handful of cheese and donair meat on it.
called the store and complained and the woman wasn't very nice. She said they still have the same cook and they looked fine to her and there was nothing wrong with them. asked to send another one and I refused. I requested my money back. She asked if the driver was still there , of course he wasn't because who checks food in the lobby of an apartment building with the driver there. He didn't even ask who I was, just handed me the food and took off. She said she couldn't do anything unless she got the food back. Told her to send the guy to come get it and she hung up on me.
After 25 minutes I called back asking where the driver was as I needed to now leave my house to go get food elsewhere and I was returning the full order as after inspection the club wrap was also subpar. I asked for the charge to be revered and she said she would have to contact skip the dishes for their policy (she was demanding the food back but didn't even know if she could refund me?). I told her the driver had 10 minutes to get here before i left. She told me he was stuck in traffic and was on his way and that they were busy and had other orders. I told her if they made the orders properly this wouldn't be and issue and she hung up on me again.
So i contacted skip the dishes and they've refunded me. It was over an hour and the driver never showed up so I requested Skip the dishes contact them to tell the driver not to bother.
Waited 2 hours for to have to leave my own house to get supper after they sent me a pathetic attempt at food.
So disappointed. Metro pizza used to be amazing, but now it seems they're cutting corners as much as they can and skimping on everything to cut costs. It used to be heaping portions and fresh ingredients and what they gave me looked like some kind of disaster you'd expect to get...
Read moreI have ordered from here a couple of times, their food is good, but I have had better pizza elsewhere. The food arrives within an hour or longer, I live 2km away from the store.
The real problems comes from the delivery drivers. I am ordering and paying for a delivery, so I expect it to my door.
The first time it was a woman who called me and asked me to come downstairs to the front of my building. It was late at night and I have a child that was sleeping, I told the lady this and she said that she must stay where the cameras are. Now I understand where she is coming from, but when you look at the bigger picture, what if the house across the street ordered? She would have to go to their door without any cameras there. I urged her that I would not go downstairs and she did eventually agree to come to my door.
The second time was a man who called and again asked me to come downstairs to the front of the building. I told him my child was sleeping and he said it didn't matter and that he would not turn his car off and come upstairs as he "did not want to get a ticket" although he would be parked in our parking lot for not even 5 minutes and would never get a ticket on this private property. He again refused to come upstairs and I was tempted to send him on his way with the food, but I didn't want any drama. So I woke my child up and went downstairs for the food.
Needless to say, I will not tip a driver for providing poor service and will not reason. I understand there is a risk to the job, but the job is to deliver the customer's food and there are going to be people that want that convenience, since they're paying extra for the delivery service.
Come on guys! If it is a store policy, then you should tell the customer on the phone prior to taking...
Read moreContinuing my mission to try every mom and pop pizza shop in town, I got my wife to stop here on the way home yesterday to grab a Canadian Classic pizza. I was hoping they could replace the seldom used Pizza Hut as a source for a "Canadian" pizza.
Out of the box it looked good and the crust was nice and fluffy. Sat down and started eating. I immediately notice two things:
We have all seen this before. Scarcity of toppings with a spicy sauce so you feel like you ate lots of pepperoni.
I won't...
