The Big Wedge Halifax — Restaurant in Halifax

This is a pretty great place!

We wandered in after a walk around the neighborhood. The seating area is pretty reasonable for a slice a bite and a walk out the door. Service was quick and nice!

The pizza itself. As the name suggests it's a big wedge. Really big especially considering the combo deal $5 for a slice and a canned drink. It's literally 1/4 of the pizza they make, it's so big it spills out of the plate!

Along with its large size it is a great slice of pizza. The dough is soft but the base is nice and crunchy, it's fluffy and light! The sauce is deliciously garlic-ee! The basic slice we got was a pepperoni with bits of bacon on it and. The pepperoni was distributed well and the bacon was sprinkled on! The cheese was nicely spread and browned nicely!

First time coming to this location (even though I drive by it almost daily) I was in the mood for just a slice of pizza and from what I heard, apparently their garlic fingers is one of the best here in HRM.

So obviously I had to get a slice and small fingers to try. When I first walked in, the lady at the counter was really friendly and welcoming (bonus!) All together for a slice and small garlic fingers it was around $15 (before I left a tip)

I got home eager to try the food and when I did… wow! This place has amazing slices and the garlic fingers are coated in lots of cheese! Even the donair sauce was pretty good (and I’m kinda particular with my donair sauce)

I will definitely be returning next time I’m feeling pizza and/or...

Yesterday was my first time trying this place out. I dropped-in for a small pizza and met and chatted with the owners while my pizza was cooking. The owners were amazing, friendly and super-nice to chat with. When I arrived home, I opened-up the box and immediately was super excited by the visual appeal of this perfectly made pie. They say you eat with your eyes, well I was in love before even taking one bite. After keeping it warm in the oven a few minutes while setting-up my usual routine, I was finally experiencing a pizza that I am accustomed to being a MTL native. I highly recommend The Big Wedge.
