Great service, consistent food. The service here is always excellent, on my most recent visit while the guy was tearing my pita open, he noticed the middle was a bit doughy and it was probably going to rip. In other locations I have seen the rip occur and the staff member just kept going and used a shredded pita for my meal. The guy at this location just immediately tossed the pita out and started a fresh one that was rip free, so much better! Veggies always appear and taste fresh, and the meat is always grilled perfectly and chopped into smaller pieces before going in the pita. My only gripe with Pita Pit in general is I wish they did a better job of mixing the veggies and meat together, the way it is now and they way they wrap it/grill it, leaves you holding the pita in a manner that gives you one bit veggies, one bit meat. Would be nice if it was all mixed together so every bite...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience here. The wait time for food was around 30–40 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all—just a few people inside. That made it even more frustrating, and not once did anyone check in or apologize for the long wait. The customer service felt oblivious, like they didn’t care that customers were waiting.
I also noticed some concerning hygiene issues. Since it’s an open kitchen, it’s very noticeable when staff aren’t following proper food safety practices. One staff member with long hair wasn’t wearing a hairnet, and another had one on only halfway, leaving hair exposed. On top of that, the washroom was very dirty, which added to the negative impression.
It’s a shame, because the place itself looks nice, but the lack of service, long unexplained wait times, and poor attention...
Read moreWhen I arrived two individuals were cleaning behind the counter. One was sweeping and mopping next to the open food area and the other was wiping out area underneath with a cloth. One came over to take our order without washing hands first-had to ask to do so-complied, as did the other worker and then put on gloves. The one who started making the pita and had left the dirty cloth on the food preparation surface next to where the pita was being made- the wet dirty cloth actually touched the corner of the pita at one point. The worker asked co-worker to move the cloth, but then slid the pita over onto the spot where the dirty cloth had just been lying. Needless to say the pita landed in the green bin when I got home. The workers were polite and accommodating but unfortunately we're poorly trained in proper...
