Presotea Chain Lake — Restaurant in Halifax

Amazing store. So many kinds of tea, and it tastes wonderful. Plus the lady at the counter loved my shirt and was super nice 10/10.

Edit: Wanted to give a more fair review since I've been there a couple times now.

Drinks are about $7-$10 each. Both trips, mine came to $8.50 for 1L of tea, which I think is a fair price for the quality and quantity. Might be the best Boba tea I've had in the Halifax area. I'd reccomend the Panda Milk Tea as a great start if you've never had one before. As far as I know, the teas are made with an espresso machine, and that brings out so much of the flavor.

The drinks range from 400-1000 calories from what I could see, which are all displayed on the menu. There are 106 drinks currently, with some limited time ones included (Counting from the app). I wouldn't mind having one in place of breakfast or lunch, they can be very filling.

There's also an app you can download to order ahead of time, but I want to say the location on top of the list is over 1200 Km away. Not great if you're thinking it's sorted by closest locations, but the Halifax location is at the bottom of the list. My brother accidently ordered somewhere in Ontario haha, so don't make that mistake. You collect points and receive offers on the app too so its worth it to check it out.

All the staff here are amazingly nice. Willing to reccomend drinks and they handle the rush of customers well. Have nothing bad to say about anyone there, fantastic workers.

Drinks are fine. I'm always happy with the taste of my drink. But this location specifically has really loud music that plays directly OVER the ordering counter. You can't hear the staff and half the time they don't hear you right either. A lot of the time, despite repeating the order back they hear me say the wrong drink and make the incorrect thing. Which is fine if they're willing to remake it. But I've also had experiences where they tell me it's "too late" to remake. I would understand that response if I had told them my order and then changed my mind and wanted to swap drinks. But i originally told you drink A and you made drink B. That shouldn't be too late or on me to suck it up. : ( However all the staff I've encountered is always really friendly and make very good drinks! Just wish you guys could at least change how you go about playing music so people can actually communicate easier at the counter, and so orders aren't...

Went back twice after that and both times the service was much better. With that in mind I've changed the original review from one star to four.

Original: Did an online order tonight, waited 20 minutes like the app said. Drinks weren't ready, was told it would be a minute, no problem.

After 30 more minutes when everyone who was in the store when I arrived had left, I tried to follow up on my order. The store staff actively ignored me (took orders from a person behind me) and wouldn't give me an update. After an hour, I gave up and left.

I don't write many negative reviews, but this is some of the worst service I've ever had. In the 40 minutes I was in the store, they only put out about 20 drinks, so it wasn't that busy.
