The above quote is taken from the side of the takeout container. It’s also how I feel about their Pad Thai. I love spicy chicken Pad Thai. Today I was at The Halifax Shopping Center when my craving hit. There was no line (unusual). My food took about as long as usual to prepare. I get a cup of peanuts with it and a set of chop sticks. Although it wasn’t as spicy as I like, it was one of the best I’ve had in a while.

Cons: I’ve noticed they don’t seem to cut up the chicken very well and I find myself wanting a utensil to do it myself.

Otherwise I miss the blocks of tofu. I’ve got to remember to ask for it because I don’t seem to get any these days unless they are cutting it up so small that I don’t notice. I doubt this (see my 1st con)

Yesterday, I ordered something here after getting something from DQ and pretzel maker. While waiting for my order, a customer returned their order but it was obvious that it was eaten already. The cashier with similar acct as that customer accepted the order back together with the used utensils. Then she handed it to the cook and they spoke their language which is a bit uncomfortable but alright. Then the cook placed the partially eaten order behind the counter together with the clean things like containers and lids, etc! I'm picky with food safety handling esp. now. That should have been thrown out right away if the customer didn't want it unless (and it is likely) that he is going to use that left-over to recook his dish. Plus the cook touched what is considered already contaminated since it left the counter and it was eaten already and he did not wash his hands when he cook a diff order from a diff customer...

For more than 3 years, I was a kind of loyal customer to Thai Express until I experienced an incident here. Last month, I got a reward from MTY reward and the store manager and clerk refused giving me the reward because they cannot read the reward but actually only some of the characters were missing, so it doesn’t make sense it could be other rewards. I was able to read the reward info before purchases at another store by simply reading the card with pressing a button on the keyboard, but they refused to that and said like then go to that store (but the reward is bind to the store where I got the reward.) They even treated like I am a beggar requesting free meal and was very unfriendly by yelling to me. But because I’m not a beggar and I couldn't believe the food from this kind of people, so I will never go there again and tell people not...
