I am very disappointed in the customer service that his location has. We had gone through the drive thru and there was one person in front of us, we sat waiting in the line for about 15 minutes and finally wondered what had been going on, rolled down our windows thinking maybe the customer had a large order which we could understand. There was dead silence, we asked the customer in front of us what was going on and they had not even been helped yet. That is extremely poor service no matter how busy a fast food joint is, the worker could have given the courtesy of telling the customer they were busy if that was the case (this didn’t happen). Then we finally placed our small order, was treated very poorly by the person who took our order in the drive thru, waited exactly 11 minutes according to the drive thrus timer and we asked asked what was going on because we now have waited over half an hour in a drive thru. And they told us we were lying and did not take as long as we claimed because their timer from the time the order we placed was only 11 minutes. They had no apologies or anything for the inconvenience . A fast food place is meant to be quick not take as long as a sit down meal. I used to love going to this Harvey’s location simply because they had the best poutines and now I’m tempted to not return as a continuous customer. Read moreI'm usually excited when I visit a Harvey's, but this visit felt more like a drag. Line-up was very long, but this isn't a complaint, I understand I went during the dinner rush. But, to make my visit more pleasant, I had my SPC card ready, as well as my Scene points card. To my surprise, there wasn't any good SPC meal deal aside from a discounted poutine... Definitely disappointing when other locations had meal deals for Original burgers (this may have changed, nor is it really the complaint, I understand cost of business goes up etc etc..), but this disappointing offer threw me off, so I forgot to show my Scene card because (of course), the cashier didn't ask me about it. Now I have to go online to collect my points.. not a huge deal really, but this adds to my annoyed mood.
Finally, when my burger was completed to my liking, I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my french fries... Again, not really a huge deal but as you can imagine this entire visit left me feeling unlike my usual Harvey's visits.
Edit: and now as I'm finishing my meal, I have just noticed that they didn't even give me my receipt back. I recall seeing it grabbed by an employee during the burger making process, and never saw it returned. RIP my...
Read moreFirst time visit to Harvey's Georgetown on Guelph St. It's sharing a space with Swiss Chalet in same building. There's alot of parking so location is decent. Restaurant itself is updated with a decent sized big screen showing CP24. When I ordered my combo I noticed a few employees behind the counter coughing and sneezing into their arms/ elbows even though they're wearing gloves. The majority of employees are South Asian. Harvey's at this location appears to be quite disorganized. The wait time for the meal is average. My only gripe is if employees are sick, coughing and sneezing I don't want them anywhere near preparing my food. Didn't we learn anything from covid ? Whether its covid or a cold, either way I don't want it from someone else ! I'll be going to the other nearby location instead on Mississauga Rd where they serve better crispier...
