Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Halton Hills

—-UPDATE: I’LL NOT ONLY BE AVOIDING THIS LOCATION BUT ALL TIM HORTONS—- I called in July 1st about this incident (see original post below) and the customer rep told me over the phone that they’ll escalate this to corporate and that a refund will be issued (given that I need to drive 40 minutes to this location). Two days later I receive an email from Tim Hortons that I need to go to the store to get a refund.

—-Original post —- AVOID THIS LOCATION. We placed a mobile order with 2 bowls and a drink and was here for pick up. Upon arrival, we were told by the staff that they didn’t have any of the items but we can come back tomorrow to pick it up. We live 100 km away from the location so we asked if they could cancel our order and give us a refund since we already paid for the order via the mobile app. The staff told us they have no authorization to do that and told us to request a refund through the app. The app requested us to fill out a form (no helpline, to save money, of course)and so we drove home and I filled out the form en route. When we got a reply, the digital team said that only the store can refund us and the digital team has no control over that. So apparently no one will refund my order now?????

1. Tim’s need to get their mobile and physical store interaction together to let customers know when items are out of stock at a location.
2. There needs to be proper training to the staff about who has what authorization.

This is a disgrace...

This place is absolutely horrid, I genuinely don’t know why I’m still coming back here. I live about 3 minutes away from this Tim hortons so I always come here considering it’s the closest one to me to save gas. Every time I order they ALWAYS mess up the order or it’s somehow not ready. I had waited 10 minutes at the drive in while I watched them serve everybody else on the other side not giving 2 shits about the other customers patiently waiting on the other side. The food is not great, the bagels are always dry even when fresh out because of the lack of butter they use. They frequently get burned and they can never get their drinks right. The customer service is extremely poor to another level, the staff can be incredibly disrespectful. Half of them can’t accept the fact they had made a mistake and argue with the customer 24/7. All this I have experienced going to this terrible branch. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place, the Tim hortons near osmows and shawarma alley has much better food and much greater service. Every star higher than 2 on here has 100% got to be friends or families because there is absolutely no way. I would give negative ratings if possible, hire new staff please before your store gets shut down because let’s face it that’s eventually...
