AJ's GRILL — Restaurant in Hamilton

I’ve been to AJ’s Grill many times in the past, but after the service and quality I received during my last visit, I felt obligated to come on here and leave a Five Star review.

I went in just after open, around 7 a.m and had a time constraint. There were already a few other tables being served, so before sitting down, I asked the waiter “can you guys make an omelette in 5 minutes?” The waiter gestured to me in a humble but confident manner, so as to say “yeah of course”.

My order came within four minutes. All of my food was piping hot. The omelette was delicious - the hashbrowns fresh and fantastically crunchy.

I was in and out of the restaurant within about 15 minutes. It was honestly one of the best (and surely the quickest) breakfast experiences I’ve ever had.

So, I’m new to waterdown and I tried this place for the very first time. I enjoy my eggs , just egg whites only and when my food came I had MULTIPLE long black hairs INTERTWINED in the eggs so it definitely was not mine. Not one chef was wearing a hair net even when i told them that during these times of covid that’s unacceptable. They had curly long black hair and ponytails that were clearly no hairnets in sight. The server tried to tell me they had their hair nets underneath their hats. They then gave me $2 off .... “we usually charge $2 for egg whites so because of what happened we’ve taken that off for you” is what the server said. NEVER going here again other people should stay away completely unsanitary. -10/10 . Should’ve stuck with Stacked...

Service itself was very nice, they were pleasant and friendly and the place was clean, do not find the prices reasonable at all, husband's fish was not even close to crispy (as the server described it) you could literally press the grease out with a light push from the fork, my son ordered the fluffy buttermilk blueberry pancakes, they were small and flat, my meal was so incredibly bland (Club house sandwich) there was no flavour whatsoever. And it is the first time going into any restaurant that the sandwiches, burger or entrees you have to order fries (for an additional charge) on top of the cost. Yet outside the store on a window poster it shows $8.99 burger and fries combo. Tried a new place and won't...
