The pink haired manager should not be allowed to interact with guests.
I wasn’t even dining at Amigos last night, but the manager caused such a scene that I could clearly hear and see everything going on from the adjacent restaurant’s patio.
I watched the manager come outside and tell someone on the patio who had just chugged their drink that “chugging is illegal.” Not even sure if that’s true, but if it is, I am a felon.
The manager then began to scream at the whole table, getting close to their faces, pointing fingers, clapping hands, and repeatedly telling them to pay their bill and leave. Making an absolute scene. The manager went as far as to very loudly tell the table that they “know nothing about the world.” It’s so ridiculously rude and juvenile that it sounds made up, but that is a direct quote.
While I was sitting at my table and enjoying my drink and a free show from a healthy distance, two of the Amigos staff members who involved themselves in the argument left their patio and walked over to my table. (Reminder, I was at a completely different restaurant!) They were visibly drunk and began badmouthing the table that was being kicked out. They were so drunk that they couldn’t tell I was not at all interested in talking to them, and continued the one-sided conversation for far too long despite my best efforts to politely end it.
Asking a guest to leave because they have been over served is one thing, but yelling at them and belittling them is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Allowing your staff to approach customers of a completely different restaurant to drunkenly pester them is inexcusable.
As a side note, this is not the first time this manager has flown off the handle on customers. Over a year ago, a friend of mine experienced a seizure while dining at Amigos. She fell down in the middle of the restaurant and started VISBLY SEIZING! The manager treated her like a person who had been over served, repeatedly yelling at our table to “pay and leave” exactly like the scene I witnessed last night. Other customers actually had to stop eating and ask the manager to step back while they tried to give my friend medical assistance. For context, my friend has a medical condition that induces unpredictable seizures and fainting. Even though this context was explained to the manager, they demanded my friend be removed from the restaurant while unconscious. 2 girls from our table and a random customer from a completely different group had to carry her out on to Hess street because the manager was threatening to call the police if we weren’t “completely off of the property.”
As someone who works in the industry I can appreciate that handling drunk people is challenging. Unfortunately this manager lacks empathy, is unable to regulate their emotions, and has absolutely zero de-escalation skills. These are all non-negotiable and essential skills when trying to successfully work a customer-facing position, especially when there is alcohol involved, and ESPECIALLY if you are the manager.
Based on my experiences and the other 1-star reviews regarding customer service, this is clearly an ongoing issue. I’m surprised the owners have allowed this behaviour to go on for so long. Do you read the reviews? Are you reading this? Your customers are trying to help you.

Read moreI was eating on Hess yesterday and was reminded of why I will NEVER return to amigos again. Last summer my friend had a medical emergency (seizure) in this restaurant. The waitress immediately came over gave her water and reassured her everything was okay after she awoke. However the Manager berated us screaming “ you need to go now, pay and go” again my friend couldn’t get up yet and was barely conscious. She was insinuating it was bc of prior alc consumption but it wasn’t it was a medical emergency & on top of that we had only just received our first round drinks 3 mins prior; we were not intoxicated at all. We tried to get her up and she collapsed again and the manager continued to scream and embarrass my friend bc of a medical condition let alone the way she was talking to me screaming “this is a business!!!! You can’t act this way”…. During a medical emergency I am dealing with on my own for the first time. Even the other table in the restaurant and our server was telling her to calm down and give my friend a second to regain consciousness. I know that this is an obscure situation to be in as a server or manager, I get it I work in the restaurant industry, but never in 10000000 years would I ever treat a customer especially going through a medical emergency like that. I get it’s not every day that this happens but her problem solving skills and management “tactics” are so so so inadequate and unprofessional which is why I myself and all my friends and family will never step foot in there again. So relating to last night I caught a video of how she dealt with conflict and represents the restaurant she works for. Imagine this but x20 per the way she acting while my friend was having an episode! Great food, horrible horrible horrible rude unpleasant and unprofessional manager.
……. I have a video of her yelling at this table but it only allows me to post photos so here’s a photo montage of her tweaking in public for everyone on the strip to see :) love it 0/10...
Read moreWe called several days before a birthday party for 11 people. We were told that they didn't take reservations but if we called 20 minutes ahead of time that there wouldn't be a problem. We made the call on drove 30 minutes from out of town. When we arrive, there weren't any large tables set up, so they asked we wait. Once completed they brought us down to 4, 2 seater tables pushed together with 11 chairs around them. Lol It looked ridiculous! I went back in and asked to have another 2 person table brought over and was refused. I was told by a pink haired girl that we would have to make due because she needed the table in question for other customers as they would potentially arrive. I said, we are 11 paying customers here now. We just need enough room to fit our plates on the table. Did I mention how ridiculous it looked! We would have had at least one person eating off their lap...at a restaurant...where they were expecting us. Lol After digging in her heals and refusing to give us all a space at the table, I told her that this is nuts and it will definitely effect the tip. Her response was, "No it won't. With a party our size the tip is automatically added." She was quite smug. I went back to the table to explain the situation to our party. The same pink haired girl had had enough of me talking back, I guess, because she shortly joined us to tell us that we wouldn't be served at all! Because we wanted room for everyone to eat at the table! Sooo crazy. Telling a group off 11 people that she basically didn't need or want our business. Driving from out of town, we all needed to find a new place to celebrate the birthday. It was such a strange, almost comical experience. There were other patrons near us laughing at the absurdity of the table setting and the entire situation. For the inconvenience that was caused to all 11 of us, I hope that no one ever eats there ever again. Go out of...
