Today I went for cupcakes and didn't even enter the store! I am caring for my 10 month old grandson and he and I had to pick up cupcakes to surprise his big brother and my soon-to-be-three-years-old grandson. There was only a small window of opportunity for me to get the cupcakes and have my 10 month old grandson back for his pm nap. I was going to struggle with his car seat because I am nursing 2 tennis elbows or severe muscle strain. Yesterday I called to order some cupcakes and today I called again to check on where they were located and how I was going to get car seat/grandson into the store and then back out again with 6 cupcakes! On both calls, I spoke with 2 different and very helpful staff members at the store. They were going to help by having the cupcakes ready and in an easy to carry box. I said that I would come with the exact amount and hopefully find a parking spot nearby so I wouldn't have to carry my grandson too far. I was overjoyed to park right in front of the store. There was a staff member who had been out to adjust the store sign while I was parking. I had my grandson out but the staff member called and asked if I was picking up an order and when I surprisingly said, “YES!”, she then asked if I would like her to bring the cupcakes out to the car!! I very gratefully replied, “THAT WOULD BE GREAT!” I put baby and car seat back in the car while my cupcakes were being hand delivered to the car! We exchanged cupcakes and money and I was on my way back home with minutes to spare before the pm nap. After 2 hours, I was finally able to extract them from the car and take a look at the cupcakes. If they taste anything like they look, then they are going to be delicious, delightful and dewelcome! (if there is such a word) The thoughtful help from the staff is going to make me come back again, even without tasting them yet! Thank you for your help in making my...
Read moreI'd be lying if I said I didn't have my doubts about the value of buying a single cupcake. I mean, I can make 24 for $4 with a mix and tub from Walmart. Right? WRONG! That crap is NOT cupcakes. Trust me. I now known cupcakes.
I would buy these cupcakes any day of the week, 100 times on Sunday.
I can't even describe how moist, rich, perfect, and insanely amazing these cupcakes are. I am converted.
I got the Salted Caramel cupcake. Get it!!!
Even the butter tart was mind blowing. So gooey. The crust was so buttery and flaky!
Please, do your mouth a flavour favour and go there.
Update: I just got a Red Velvet Cupcake, and I am in heaven!
The Salted Pecan butter tart is to die for!!!! Soooooo ooey gooey with the perfect balance of sweet n' salty!
The Banana Cake was decent. It wasn't very moist, it didn't have a strong banana flavour (like banana bread) and there was no caramel injected in the cupcake itself...but I still ate it.
The Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk cookies...
Read moreI volunteered dessert for a pot luck party only to realize I had no time to bake. I called pretty last minute and ordered 24 cupcakes to be picked up the next day. No problem! I was talked through the process of ordering by a patient and professional assistant.
The cupcakes were ready and waiting for me the next day parcelled beautifully in a green box. When I peaked inside one of the boxes Iwas SO impressed at the presentation. Each cupcake steadied in its own cubby.
These treats travelled by train, boat and foot over to the Toronto Island where my friends live and arrived without a scuff. The reaction at the party was amazing! We ended up sharing a lot so we could sample the different flavours. I was so grateful that Bitten could help me out last minute and that the dessert was so memorable,...
