COBS Bread — Restaurant in Hamilton

Honestly, I wish I could say this location and place was off the charts. I got a gift card so I was excited to try this place out. I'm actually really disappointed. When I came in the guy didn't say hi. He just waited for us to order. We tried the sample hot cross buns and they were hard as rocks from sitting out. Despite that I thought the fully made ones on display would be soft and fluffy so I had ordered those. When I got home it was a random Danish in my box. Accidents happen so whatever on that but then when we also got sour bread loafs they were also hard as rock. The guy didn't really seem to care and half way through us ordering stopped to deal with an Uber eats order and then another order. I just felt like it was rude and honestly I probably would have gotten the right thing if he finished with us first and then helped the other guy. Drove there last on Sunday - roughly hand written sign on door said "closed for maintenance" but store was in complete darkness. Drove back on Monday, same thing so called the customer service number for Cobbs. After holding fo a while was told they had no information so took my name and number and said she would call back. Now it's Tuesday and my son Drove by, still in darkness and older guy inside on cell phone. I live in Hamilton so is still a bit of a drive to their location in Stoney Creek so will not be going to Cobbs again unless I happen to be out and about in Ancaster or Burlington area - which isn't that often. Thanks for the no customer service at the customer service number. You should at least have given your customers a reason for the closure. This location is by far my favourite location for the following reasons :

✅ Alison is such a amazingly kind and talented baker. She is always so positive and her calm demeanour makes encounter so pleasant. I go to this location often as it is a few mins from my office, however , I also travel in from Niagara region on weekends just because Alison and her team are all simply the best 🙂

✅ Meg is such a hard worker and always so kind as well 😊

✅ Kaitlynn is so gracious and always suggesting the best options for me and my work friends 🙂

I was there this morning and due to a turnover in Staff the team has a lot to complete and despite this , Alison and her dream team stayed calm , positive and also had a beautiful option of croissants 🥐, pastries 🥮 , cinnamon buns and bread for me and my coworker to choose from.
