Coco’s is one of my favourite places to order bubble tea, but I had the worst first visit at this location tonight. The girl serving us was incredibly rude—she raised her voice while we were ordering and threw our straws at us when handing over the drinks.
We tried to order two large Bubble Gagas. She rudely told us they were out of green tea (which we understood—it was half an hour before close), so we asked if we could get the exact same drink with black tea instead as a substitute. She rudely told us we couldn’t have the same toppings because it’s a different drink, we said we would separately to add all those toppings if it was because of code difference, she still said she could not do those toppings because “passion fruit wouldn’t taste good in the black tea”. Even after we explained that we’d like to go ahead with it, she kept giving us attitude.
She took 5 customers orders after us before staring to make our drinks and she treated all of them poorly too—raising her voice, obviously irritated when they tried to order drinks with green tea and giving them attitude. One customer who tried to pay with a $50 bill was turned away with a rude comment that they don’t accept those bills. I won’t be returning to this location again. I’d rather make the drive downtown.

I frequently come to the store about one to two times a week and have never had an issue and the usual ladies that have been there have always been very kind. Last night was an exception, the one bubble tea that was made for us tasted absolutely disgusting and it’s a bubble tea that I’ve had in the past so I would recognize what it would taste like. I advised the worker that was working that it tasted like something has gone bad. Both workers argued with me that they made it as instructed and that it shouldn’t taste bad. I advised them that I’ve gotten this bubble tea before and something does not taste right in it. They said they can make me another one. I asked if I could have a different flavour as I was turned off by the taste of the last one. I did ask them as I used points to get that bubble tea as a free one if the bubble tea that they were making to replace this one would be free, they said it would not be as there is nothing wrong with my bubble tea. The customer service was absolutely horrible. They were extremely rude and no apology or anything of any sort to try to...
Read moreYesterday (Saturday) around 2:30pm, I experienced a taller white teenager be verbally abusive and condescending to another brown female employee. He did nothing, and had her work cash, and also make the drinks. Additionally, he blew his nose, washed his hands for 2 seconds and did not use soap and went to Make people’s drinks. I asked him if he is going to wash his hands and he gave me attitude. I ended up asking for a refund and calling him out for his Behaviour especially his disrespect to the brown female employee (who was lovely and a hard worker). I am not sure if this is the type of person you want represent your store, but if it is, you can be certain you are 1) going to deter people from doing business with you 2) have your good employees leave.
