I wish I could give them 5 stars but I hope they use this feedback to improve. My first visit today. Based on the raving reviews I chose this restaurant among multiple other options in the same area. Here are the things I really like. Customer service: the two girls at the front are superb. Very friendly and great customer service all around. The handwritten note thanking me for my business is the first for me and I loved it! The restaurant is new so it's very clean. I love that they don't give your food in one of those horrible styrofoam containers. Instead they have little cardboard boxes, which may seem little but hold same, if not more amount of food as the styrofoam ones. They ask you if you prefer chopsticks or spoon and fork (they don't shove both options in your bag. No plastic bags! AMAZING!!!
Here's why am I not giving them 5 stars: I paid for grilled chicken breast as protein. Which came to almost $5 that you have to pay extra on top of the food price. The food is same prices as everywhere else, except that other places include protein but you have to pay extra for protein here.
The chicken pieces are tiny, size of a nickel or even smaller and there were only 6 or 7 tiny pieces of chicken in my Noodlebox (I wouldn't have paid $1 for that much!!!) so that is totally a ripoff.
A Noodlebox with few tiny chicken pieces and no drink came to almost $20.
I ordered Pad Thai, I got a very delicious meal but it was not Pad Thai, not even close!
I definitely won't be going back. First impressions are important and this place failed to deliver.
I wish them luck and I hope they use this and all other constructive reviews to improve.
Positive reviews are great, they may bring you new customers but the negative reviews show you what you need to fix so you can get customers in and retain them. All the best...
Read moreMy experience at Noodle box was a bit above average. The place is run well with a good amount of staff working. It’s located in Winona area and is one of the better chains in the Winona crossings centre.
When entering into the restaurant it’s a small location. There is seating and it’s decorated nicely. The place is clean and organized well. There is a mobile pick up area for convenience.
Staff are professional and polite. The person taking my order was attentive. They do need to brush up on their allergy understanding, celiac disease understanding and what is vegetarian (fish sauce is not vegetarian and egg is also something people don’t see as vegetarian).
The food is a 3/5. The steak tenderloin is definitely not tenderloin. It’s very tough and overcooked. If in fact it’s tenderloin then they overcooked it substantially. I suggest sticking to chicken. The amount of vegetables is small as well. Your noodle box will be full of noodles but not much else. It’s value is not there as noodles are cheap and the other items are so few. Protein is rationed quite heavily. Regardless it does taste good. The coconut shrimp is good but a pass.
I’m confused by the menu. There is a mixture of different types of Indian cuisine and different types of Asian cuisine. Nothing really stands out. It’s a Jack of all trades and a master of none.
I’d visit noodle box again but hoping they will make improvements...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to trying Noodle Box this evening, especially since it just opened up a few minutes from home. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment.
We ordered the Honey Garlic Bowl and the Crispy Chicken Box, and both left us sad and hungry — we couldn’t even finish them.
The Honey Garlic Bowl was the biggest letdown. The noodles were so overcooked they had completely broken apart and melted into each other — they weren’t even recognizable as noodles. The sauce was overwhelmingly sweet, to the point where it tasted like someone had just poured a whole bowl of honey on top. And I love sweet food, so that says a lot.
The Crispy Chicken Box was no better. The rice tasted stale, and the chicken was soggy — definitely not “crispy” as advertised. In fact, both dishes had soggy, unpleasant chicken.
It’s a real shame, because we were excited to have a new spot so close by. Sadly, this first visit will...
