I wouldn't recommend this place as a karaoke bar to anyone. The service really was terrible, the server rushed us off into a corner because we hadn't booked a party table (which they charge for according to their site). We were immediately approached in a pretty confrontational manner with a debit machine by the same server saying "what, you aren't going to order food??" when we hadn't even had a chance to look at the menu. We let her know this, she finally came back to take our order a while later. However, she didn't bring us our food until my friend went to the bar to find out what was going on with our food almost an hour later. They comped us the soda and water. The fry basket was flopped down on our table bare with a tiny ketchup dish, wasn't even on a plate.
We didn't come for the food though so let's talk about the karaoke experience.
The audio system was okay, but these folks don't own any karaoke backings and there is no actual DJ. It's all YouTube videos and a large portion of those are terrible. They have you text them what song you want, then they throw it into a playlist so basically if your song comes on and you're not standing almost on the stage you might miss the start of it, especially since getting through the bar involves climbing over people. They also don't stop the music if someone can't make it up in time. It's pretty clear they're in it for a cash grab based on the fact they base their whole business on party reservations and not having an extra staff member running the karaoke. It makes for a really impersonal experience.
Oh, and since I texted them the songs I wanted, I've been getting an influx of spam texts - my friend even got a phone call from a strange number while we were in the bar and remarked how odd it was that happened just after texting a strange number.
Also, guys - please keep your bathroom cleaner than that....
Read moreDeja Vu is hands down my favorite spot to hang out with friends, and every visit feels better than the last. I’ve been here so many times that it feels like my second home. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming—they always greet you like you’re part of the family. It’s rare to find a place that feels this warm and genuine.
Every time we go, my friends and I have an absolute blast. Whether we’re belting out our favorite songs or cheering each other on, the energy in the room is always amazing. The sound system is top-notch, and the song selection is massive—you can find everything from old classics to the latest hits.
On top of all that, Deja Vu will always hold a special place in my heart because it’s where I met my fiancé. I never imagined a karaoke night could change my life like that, but here we are! I’m so grateful for the memories this place has given me, and I can’t wait to make more.
If you’re looking for a fun night out with great vibes, friendly people, and an atmosphere that feels like home, Deja Vu is the place to be. Trust me, you’ll leave with a smile on your face and maybe even a life-changing story...
Read moreWe rented a private room. It was nice but a little cramped with 8 people. The karaoke system is way up high, so you had to ask staff to adjust volumes. We had a lot of issues with the mics being distorted or feeding back and getting help a few times from staff. Each time, we were waiting for them to have a moment to come adjust it. The mics we had died twice, and we had to wait for batteries. This was disappointing considering the price you pay to have the space for a set time. These things should have been checked and ready to go before we arrived. There was no extra time given for all the setbacks. Also, when you order drinks, the waitress has to open the door where the stag area is and kept knocking into us if we were standing there singing. It's not her fault. it's the design of the space. Would probably be better with a smaller group and some sort of light to indicate that the door was...
