I would of given it a 1 star on service alone, but it's not fair to judge the food in the same light. My husband and I ordered dinner from here this evening. We just recently moved to Stoney Creek and we decided to try out a new place. We ordered at 6:45pm and the woman on the phone said it would take approx. 50min. Ok....I can wait 50 min. 8:20pm rolls around and I call asking the ETA on my food. She says the driver is 10-15 away. What?!?! What happened to approx. 50 min? Why is it taking almost 2 hours for my food to arrive. I could of made my own Chinese food in that time frame. The woman calls back and says she can give me 10% off my order....whatever. A few dollars isn't going to win me over at this point. So 10 min later, my food arrives! Hallajeah. Oh but wait, they charged me the $5 delivery fee even though I ordered over $35 worth of food and it specifies on the flyer, it's free delivery! At this point, I'm fuming. Not only did she not give me a total on the phone, she throws in this delivery charge. We paid the delivery driver and he left. She calls back, says she will ask the delivery driver to refund our $5, does he come back with it? Nope! She calls back yet again and says she will give me a 20% discount on my next order. You have got to be kidding me? Why in the world would I want to order from here again. My food was just "warm". The rice was cool at best. The warmest in our order was the chicken. The portions are SMALL! For the price, you would think you would get a decent amount. The Cantonese chow mien? Where's the freaking noodles? Lots of "extra" space in the container and good for 1 meal and a half at best. $50 dollars for Chinese food that took about 2 hours? I will not be ordering from here again. The food was nothing special. Wontons were completely mush and the flavour was "meh". I want my $5 dollars back. Actually, I want all my money back....
Read moreI just moved here so I had to find a new Chinese restaurant to order from. I had 6 guests come over so I opted to order food as to not be overwhelmed with cooking. So I found this restaurant that was the closest to my house and ordered all of our usual favorites dishes and hoped for the best. My guests and I were pretty underwhelmed and I wouldn't order from here again.
For ease of reading I'll rate each dish that we ordered and ate.
Sweet Sour Chicken balls - It was good, basically your typical chicken balls that you can get from any other Chinese restaurant.
Beef Broccoli - It is what to expected but portions are too small.
General Tso Chicken - Once our teeth got past the VERY tough fried outer breading you are then met with VERY chewy chicken inside. It tasted like breaded chicken that was fried a day before and then re-fried the next day for a little too long. Too hard to eat.
Orange chicken - Same as the general tso's. Very hard and very tough. Tasted like re-fried chicken. Also too hard to eat.
Honey Garlic Chicken wings - Very VERY soggy. The breading was falling off the meat. Extremely sweet and literally dripping with sauce. I couldn't eat it.
Black pepper beef - There was more sauce than anything. A couple pieces of beef and lots of onions drowning in a bowl of watery sauce. Taste was okay.
Shanghai lo mein - Really good and spicy. I would eat it again.
Chicken lo mein - Tasteless
Chicken fried rice - Decent but...
Read moreI order from here quite often. Today I ordered almost $150 and the order was two bags put into a box. I pulled out the bags and the two soups had been crushed and soaked both bags and the food flew EVERYWHERE. I have never once complained in the 4 years we have ordered from here and I wasn’t upset as I know things happen. I called to tell them the situation since everyone was very hungry I drove to go pick up the new order. They misunderstood what I said and only remade the soup. She told me it will be about 15 minutes for a new order and I said no problem I will wait in my car. 5 minutes later she came out and told me the driver told her the order was perfectly fine…so basically I am a liar. I explained the two bags were in a box so how did the driver see the condition of the bags? She asked if I could go home and bring back the food ( which I already explained was literally spread across my floor, sauce and all). I told her forget it we won’t be ordering EVER again, and I called and ordered pizza on the way home. I understand there are dishonest people in this world but we have ordered very regularly in the past four years and NEVER once complained. I’m disgusted with how I was treated and that I paid $150 and the only thing that didn’t go in the garbage was a container of ribs. You’ve definitely lost one of...
